"Rai!" Erin walked up to Rai and took her tiny 6 year old hand. " Come play with us! We're playing tag, you're fast so you'll be good at this !" Erin smiled and pulled Rai of to join the game.
Rai and the other kids played happily but it only lasted til Hannah shoved Rai into a tree. "We don't want you to play with us! Just because Erin invited you, doesn't mean you can join, so just stay here." Hannah spat and turned away. Rai began seeing red, her arm was bleeding and scraped from impact with the tree. All the kids turned to look at Rai as a dark mist with red particles surrounded her hands. For Rai everything was black, all she knew was , she had no control over anything.
A loud growl erupted from Rai's chest, as the mist engulfed Hannah's small retreating figure and launched her hard into one of the poles holding up the slide.
After the darkness had subsided from Rai's vision, Rai was sent home. Laynie (her mom) and Jonathon (her dad) didn't want damage to occur to their bodies, so instead of fixing what they brought into the world, they left her to fend for herself .
Rai stood in her empty living room and bawled. She didn't even know what she did, and when she'd asked everyone would run away. Erin even looked at her like she was a monster.
What did she do to make everyone abandon her?..
