even just for a while?
to the heavenly father this i will pray
in front of his majestic aisle.
even the smallest amount of love i'll cherish,
even if you say i am not worth the love you'll give.
but dearest i pledge to you that my love won't perish.
it is only yours to take 'til we no longer live.
lonely i will be once you go.
flowers may shed tears and no longer glow,
ethereal beauty of this world will no longer grow,
and all i'll be is never happy but always low.
i'd do anything to make you stay.
i beg you,
please never go away.
i'll tell you how much i love you as we lay,
then give you a kiss to start your day.
and i hope it is enough to make you stay.
because my beloved, without you,
my world is gray.
