“Wake up, baby. It’s time to say goodbye.”

I opened my eyes in shock it see I was in a Jeep and Harry was standing at the door with a hand on my cheek.

“What? Already?” I exclaimed as I tried to get up. Harry put a hand on my stomach and settled me down. We were still in the airport and I could hear cars beeping and red lights flashing in the distance.

“It’s okay, love. I’m always just at my house. I’m not going anywhere,” he smiled. He kissed my cheek and then pressed his lips softly against mine for a moment before he pulled away.

“Don’t let any boys get to you, you’re still only mine,” he teased.

“Can’t we change it to a day?” I chuckled softly. His hand took mine as he grinned.

“I would love to, but I have to get some work done for the mind reading class I’m teaching next year. Your dad said I’m already full developed so I can teach and then study healing at the same time. I want to get the work done without any distractions-” He smirked, “And you seem to often distract me.”

I kissed him again before the driver said he needed to get me home.

“Bye, love,” I whispered tiredly.

“I love you. I’ll see you soon, okay?” he grinned as he shut the door.

“See you soon,” I muttered back as we drove off. I dropped my head onto the seat in the back and stayed like that, without falling asleep. Maybe this will be better for both of us?

“Mom, I’m home,” I whispered as I entered the dark house. Lights flickered on as a blond mass threw herself at me.

“Oh! My baby’s home!” she squealed while suffocating me with love.

“Okay, thanks mom. You can let go,” I breathed with a chuckle.

She laughed and pulled back. “I have so much planned for us. We can go shopping and get you presents and get some pageant stuff- By the way I and many others were very upset you couldn’t compete for Miss United States while you were away.”

“Mom, it’s three in the morning,” I groaned.

“Right, go to sleep. We can sort everything out in morning,” she smiled and showed me to my room. It had been months since I’d been here but everything was exactly the same.

“Good night,” I muttered while falling into the cold bed. I felt her tucking me in before the door closed and I drifted off to sleep.

“Finish your breakfast quickly. I want to go to the mall today like we used to,” my mom smiled as she walked down stairs with a hair curler in hand.  She curled her hair in front of the microwave as I munched hungrily on my breakfast.

“So where’s Harry?” she asked.

I had almost forgotten that he had even been gone. “We’re sort of taking a break.”

“Did you guys break up?” she gasped.

“No, he just needs to get work done and we’ve been together in the same room for ages, we’re taking the first week of the holidays to relax.”

“How’s he going to get food?” she frowned.

“I never thought of that,” I groaned, slapping my hand over my forehead.

“And he probably won’t have any water and electricity at his house,” she added.

“He’ll probably come over if he runs out of anything,” I shrugged.
