Texas POV

"Texas do you want me to come home with you?" Mike asks taking me by the hips and kissing my head

"No Mike, you must be as tired as me. You should head home"

"Alright Boo, lets grab a cab" Mike walked over to a desk and got us a cab

June an Lizz had left alone. Lizz however being quiet the whole trip home. We decided to act normal with her not mentioning her escapades with Dylan. Giving Lizz time to think things through.

I wasn't looking forward to going home in case mum wasn't home 

When I did arrive home I walked into the kitchen making Mum jump

"Didn't you hear me" I asked before wrapping my Arm around mum in a tight hug 

Mum froze up which confused me before ending the hug quickly

"I have a little surprise for you" Mum explained. I smiled proudly

"Aww Mum great. I also have a gift for you let me just go get changed"

I rushed upstairs and changed into pyjama's and a bath robe 

When I returned to the kitchen mum called me into the living room. I had a good feeling about this surprise. It could be a car maybe or a new television. Omg what if mum brought me a flat...... 

To my major disappointment it wasn't no new house or car but an man in his Mid thirties dressed in a light grey suit.

"Who's he?" I asked rudely

"Look Texas come sit with me" Mum offers uneasy 

I sit with her nervously afraid this man is here to bear bad news. I really hope what mum says next is positive.

"Texas meet Nile. His a professor at minchin university. His my.. Well my boyfriend"

"What really!"

"Yes we have been seeing each other for a while now"

"How longs a while mother?" My voice arising

"Does that matter Texas?"

"We tell each other everything why couldn't you tell me this?" I mutter angrily

"You was on holiday sweetie an ive told you now"

"What do you expect me to say!"

"I don't know maybe be nice and chat to Nile" 

Mum eyes Nile and smiled apologetically"

"Nile, hi well my names Texas. Am 17 years old. Aquarius, Boyfriends names Mike. His great. I have a dad but his dead"

Niles smiles awkwardly and turns to my mum

"There I've chatted now when is niles leaving"

"Niles is staying Texas for a long time" Mum hisses. Its aparent shes getting angry with me

"Abbreviate a long time?"

"Nile is going through a divorce and needs a place to stay"

"Oh right so Niles you're recently divorced?" I questioned giving him my best death glare

"Yes Texas" He replies adjusting hes tie

"Hmm I see. Now you've pounced on my mum sucked her in. Then down the line you expect to marry her maybe even divorce her like you did your other wife"

Mum gasped angrily pulling me off the chair

"No Texas I raised you better" Snarled mum still gripping my arm.

"Mum let go" I yell

"Now ladies lets calm down" Niles added standing up

I turn to niles "Niles stay out of this" I say before turning back to my mum

"Mother you raised me alone. Without no father figure and we worked it out. Niles living here changes everything. Its proves I'm not enough for you. So maybe I should leave" I stormed out the living room angry tears drenching my cheeks without a backward glance.
