'PLEASE STOP THIS!!' The young girl thought in her panic. She would have yelled it out loud and such, if only the tape covering her mouth would allow her to.
It didn't.
She could only silently whimper and cry as she heard the bookcase above her being moved. She was unable to do anything to stop it.
Earlier, when she was being forced to sweep the floor, the two owners thought that it would be fun to gloat and tell her how they were going to kill Zack.
They talked about how they would make her watch.
They talked about how they could use her against him.
They talked of how Zack's eyes would dull once his life was taken from him.
They talked of how he would just be another bag of trash to be taken out.
Lily had enough.
She swung the broomstick at them. She didn't care that she had no chance of winning this fight. All didn't care about the fact that she might be the one to end up dead now. She didn't care about any of that.
All she cared about was keeping Zack alive.
Nothing else.

They taped her wrists together and, with her mouth taped shut as well, threw her into a hidden area underneath the floorboards.
Then they moved the bookcase on top.
Lily kicked and kicked at the bookcase above her.
Trying to get out.
Trying to get free.
Only to fail.
The young girl eventually tired herself out. She passed out, not even realizing just how tired she was.
When she woke up, she panicked. Opening her eyes to utter darkness, and having herself taped and stuck in a small space, she immediately went into a panic.
The only thought that she could form was 'I'm going to die here'.
After a few days or so, Lily couldn't really tell with the constant darkness surrounding her, she finally made some progress.
Anytime she was awake, she was kicking her feet out against the walls around her, and she would also bang her taped hands around too.
But now, for once, one of her feet went through one of the spots near the ceiling, or the actual floor of the building if she were to be literal about it.
She immediately put all her focus into that area.
She eventually was able to get out. With her feet now bloody and her hands scratched and chafed, she walked through the house, searching for Zack. All the while barely casting a single glance back at the opening in the floor that she just crawled out from, right next to the unmoved bookcase.
She was worried that the owners have carried through with their threats against the young boy.
But what she found was a room full of blood.
And yet...
She had no fear.
Only relief when she didn't see Zack's corpse, and instead only the owner's of the orphanage.
She searched, only to no avail.
She went into the kitchen and used a knife to cut the tape, only afterwords realizing that one was missing.
And so, she left the house, in a continued search for a certain raven.
