I sat myself down on the pillow I had previously set on the floor. Legs long before me, the back of my hands resting on them. I close my eyes shut and it begins. I let out a few giggles before long deep breaths. My head slowly falls into gravity and I wake up in the middle of a forest. A forest I know far too well but have never seen in person. I walk through the tall oak trees and purple leaves. It's spring and blankets of flowers lay on the ground, caressing the exposed skin of my black ripped jeans. It smells like rain and freshly cut wood and it's warm like the sun hitting your face on a cold evening. I come to stop in front of a torn down house of bricks, the roof is fully gone but yet, somehow, It's the most beautiful place I have ever seen. I step in, my hands lingering on the doorknob before fully entering. On the wooden table is set a plate of cookies, I grab one and start eating it. It feels like a fresh-out-of-the-oven cookie would feel, warm and melting in my hand. I hear footsteps but I don't move, I don't have to. My eyes close as her arms snakes around my waist. Her chin finds its way above my shoulder, peacefully resting there. We don't talk, we just enjoy each other's company. That is until music starts playing and she delicately whispers in my ear, "Do you want to dance?". I just walk forward to a more spacious room, her scent following closely behind me. I stop and turn to face her, my arms appears at her neck and hers at my belt. We move from left to right like a awkward couple would on prom, a sweet smile is noticeable on both of our faces.
And then the music stops, her face falls and I step towards the exit. I can see her eyes begging me to come back, but there's nothing I can do. I kiss her gently and passionately before making my way out, falling back into the arms of reality. My green eyes are still hidden behind my eyelids and I take a moment to compose myself. I smile a sad smile before getting up, I know I'll see her tonight in my lucid dream.
