Chapter 8

Minx's POV

We sit there in silence, watching the fire dance, and burning embers glow.

After a while, I hear tiny snores coming from behind me, and I turn to find Krism sound asleep.

Gently as I can, I lift Krism bridal-style onto the bed, and tuck her under the covers, before softly kissing her forehead.

I then get my pajamas on, and then join Krism; she fidjits around for a little while, before cuddling up to me in the feotal-position.

I wrap an arm around her protectivley, before leaning forward and whispering in her ear;

"You are, and will allways be my Krism."

As I lean away, I see her smile, and she whispers back-

"And you'll allways be my Minx."

- before falling back asleep, and squishing up to me even more.

I feel my eyelids suddenly drop heavy, and without my knowing, for the first time in weeks, fall asleep too.
