You sighed softly as you got home Asher happily running off to play in his room. You smiled faintly at his joy as you shuffled to the kitchen. You puffed a vent through your derma as you wandered aimlessly over to the fridge. You opened it and looked over all of the contents optics dim.

It had an array of good foods that you could combine to make a lovely concoction to feed your quite ravenous son. At the moment your processor was just looking for something to mindlessly gnaw on. Nothing in here seemed to fix onto your fancy. With a disappointed sigh you shut the fridge.

Worry had your tank oddly empty yet full of nothing but fear, a fear of the future. A tank full of 'what if's and 'what will happen' left you exhausted and sad. You didn't want any harm to come to you or your son, and from what the elderly bot had told you, did not calm any of your nerves.

You hadn't exactly left your last line of work without burning a few bridges and leaving a few scarred. You had a list of bots that would probably be looking for you, mostly your helm served up on a silver platter like the main piece two a three course meal. You couldn't bring yourself to imagine what they would do to your son if they did find the both of you.

Obviously they were getting close, all too close for your liking, but you didn't have anywhere else to run, and  you couldn't exactly fly to Vos. So here you were finally getting cornered in at the last place you thought you would ever be cornered. You should have covered your tracks better.

You should have cut off communications faster-

You should have left more false leads to send them on wild goose-chases-

You should have-

"Mum?"

You snapped from your thoughts when you heard your son right next to you.

"Yes sweetspark?" You murmured looking down at him

"Are you feelin' okay?" He asked his optic ridges scrunched in concern

You worried your lower derma for a moment and contemplated lying to him for a moment.

"N-no huney... Mums feeling a little under the weather."

"I can take care of you mummie!!" He beamed with a determined grin, "Now go lie down!" He spoke trying to shoo you off

"Oh sweetie you don't-"

"Don't saas me!"

You chuckled and complied going to lay on the couch. You listened to him clattering about in the kitchen for awhile before he ran in with an cold pack and placed it on your helm. He pressed a servo to your face and you had to hold back a laugh .

"You are bery warm, so you have to say right here and nap." He concluded

"Can I nap with my little medic?" You asked chuckling

He hummed but nodded excitedly, "Of course!"

He happily climbed up onto the couch with you to snuggle. You smiled softly at him and kissed his helm softly.

"You're a good medic."

"Thanks!"
