Chapter 9

"And I'ma gonna get to play wit' Drillhead- and Hammertrail- and-" You smiled and listened to your little son ramble off names of the other sparklings at daycare he likes to play with 

"You should be working on reading Luv." You chuckled softly, "You almost read the whole cereal box to me, and I want to see you read the whole thing soon, you're doing so good." 

He beamed, "Really!?"

"Yes really." You smiled giving his servo a squeeze 

He beamed happily holding your servo was he happily bounced along with you as you walked to day care.

After dropping him off you walked out of the day care and stepped off the curb and to the road and transformed and drove off to work. The drive gave you a few moments to clear your helm before entering that dungeon of a place.

It wasn't a long drive to get to work, it was just a hassle to sneak in passed your boss and check in. You transformed outside and gave yourself a good stretch before heading in quickly making your way to the check in box. You managed to check in and get most the way to your cubical before you got caught by your persistent boss.

"Ah, (y/n), I've been meaning to ask when you would like yo go out so I can give you the day off and take you out somewhere nice." He chuckled servo going for your own 

You folded them behind your back before he could, "I-I'd have to see sir... We do have that big event coming up and we'd need as many bots here as we can get..."

"So sometime next week then?" He asked expectantly 

"I..." You knew enough that that week had Asher's creation day, "I am planning on going to a creation party... I have to help plan it.."

"Really? Who's?" He hummed taking a step closer, "I'm sure I could help."

"No, no its my... nephew's party..." You chuckled nervously

"(y/n)! There you are!" You had to hold onto that vent of relief as your work friend walked over, "We need to get to work on printing those banners."

"Yes, right away. Sorry sir, I have to help with this." You said quickly leaving with your friend

"That creep still bothering you?" She hummed as you got out of audio shot of him

"Yeah... Thanks for that by the way." You chuckled 

"Don't mention it, what's the plan for Asher's creation day?" She hummed as you followed her to the printer room 

"The usual; cake, a few presents, movie, letting a few of his friends over, oh! I plan on getting him a big piñata this year, he'll love it." You chuckled clapping your servos together, "Oh I can't wait to see the look on his face when he sees it!"

Your friend smiled, "Drillhead can't wait to go, he keeps talking about it."

"Really? Asher hasn't even made a peep about it." You hummed 

"Really? well, you know him, all ditzy and all over the place." She chuckled 

You nodded smiling, "He is he is. Do you actually need my help or can I get to my cubical?"

"Go on then." She laughed

You had met with a few costumer here and there, but it was a relatively calm day. 

That was until your whole day was uprooted when a red mech and a large green one walked into it.
