Nightmare From The Flames

Plot Synopsis

Blaze was been taken away by Iblis and the future is saved. Silver wanted to sacrifice himself instead to save Blaze, but that was simply impossible. The aftermath leaves Silver distraught with grief and worry. His worst fear was realized: losing his true friend.

Blaze and I stand tall in front of a giant crater filled with lava. Iblis is defeated, but still alive. His monstrous form has been destroyed. The battle was long and arduous, but we managed to take him down. With Blaze by my side, I had the confidence to end Iblis and save our world. All that remains of Iblis is a sphere of fire and lava. I remember what has to be done. It's the only way to save our world...

I look over at Blaze. She seems worried, but she nods her head regardless. I nod back and I hold out the two Chaos Emeralds. I take a deep breath. "Chaos Emeralds, lend me your power! Eternal Sun! The Living Flame that has been entrusted to the royal family! Fall into slumber with my soul, Iblis! You cursed Flames of Disaster!" The emeralds glow in my hands. The fire goes into the emeralds, spiraling with energy. I stare at the emeralds with fear and determination. The emeralds glow bright orange. The rays of light shoot directly into my chest.

The pain is immense and I scream. It feels like a hundred needles are piercing my skin all at once. As if drills are creating giant holes in my body. It's as if the fire and magma from Iblis are filling up inside of me. I start to burn tremendously and I scream louder with each passing second.

"Silver! Stop!"

Blaze yells at me, but I ignore it. I can't give in... The world depends on me! If this isn't done, nobody will be able to live in peace. If I have to give my life for everyone to be happy, then so be it. Soon, the pain is indescribable and I start to shake wildly. I feel like I'm choking and my arms become weak. I try my hardest to stand tall, but it was too much... I drop the emeralds and I fly back. I fall onto the ground, exhausted and devoid of energy. I can see Blaze looking really terrified and worried. I then see the fire escaping the emeralds and reforming into a giant magma sphere again. I try to get up, but my legs give out and I nearly collapse on the ground. Blaze catches me.

"Silver, you're too weak! You can't do this!"

"I have to, Blaze! The people here can't live unless I go!"

Blaze looks frustrated with my stubbornness. She looks back at Iblis reforming. She turns back to me with her eyes shut and her head hung low. She opens her eyes and looks back at me. "It doesn't have to be you..." Blaze stands up and walks over to Iblis. She picks up the two emeralds.

"Blaze?" I ask with concern. Blaze holds them out to Iblis. The fire goes into the emeralds and then into Blaze herself. I limp back to the ground when I try to run to her. I look up and I see her turn around. I can see the orange energy in her chest. She's unphased by it. "Blaze?"

"I'll be fine Silver. You need to stay here. You need to rebuild the world without me-"

"What do you mean 'without you?!' " I start to shed some tears.

"I can't keep Iblis here... He needs to be sent to a different dimension. That means..."

My eyes widen in fearful shock. I start to shake my head as I talk. "No... No. No, no, no! Blaze I can't lose you!"

"I know you're strong Silver. You have what it takes-"

"You're everything to me, Blaze! I can't do this without you!"

"You said it yourself, one of us has to go to save everyone. Let that person be me..."

I lower my head. My heart is sinking into my feet. My eyes are flooded with tears. This can't be happening. I look back up at her. "Blaze..." I say, whispering my words out. I reach out to grab her.
