"Just go down this road and enter the forest; then head to the east and once you see the coast, turn to the south. There you will find the city of Pravoka. I heard rumors that it is being invaded by pirates so you may be able to get a ship from them...or steal it from them in any case hahahahaha!!"
"(Why am I still following this?)" Squall thought as both exited the cave of Matoya and headed to the forest "(This idea is completely ridiculous! Stealing a ship from pirates... who would ever think on that? And on top of everything, we don't even know if this Matoya woman is lying or not!... And to leave my ring... I really should stop following this Zidane; his plan's stupid overall and he doesn't even calculate the results of his actions!! Just what am I thinking?!)"
"Hey, Squally! Why was that ring so important to you? Care to share your story?" Zidane suddenly asked him
"No!" Squall blatantly said and kept walking forward
"Alright, you don't want to talk about it, fine!" Zidane said
"(Annoying monkey! From all the other warriors, I had to end up with him!!)"
"Say! Are you still worried about...?!"
"How many times do I have to say it!!" Squall exclaimed and turned to Tribal "I don't care about anyone!! They should take care of themselves!"
"Um..." Zidane looked at him with a smile on his face "hahahaha! I was not talking to you!! I was actually talking to Yuna"
"Arrrrgh!!!!"
"Um...sir Squall" Yuna finally spoke to him "Thank you very much" and she bowed
"(What is this all about?)" he thought
"Thank you for helping us in finding our friends... I promise we will get your ring back..."
"... whatever!" Squall said and once kept walking
The other two followed him.
They finally entered the forest where they were assaulted by many monsters, ones shaped like wolves, the others of a pink-hued skin and worm-like body and even a powerful ogre. But they didn't have many problems with them, they fought them until they found the coast once again and so, they headed south to the nearest town.
The town they found was a very small one and which was built over a lake. The only way to access it by foot was a bridge that leaded to a plaza from which two sides derived, both of them harboring houses and various shops. Right straight from the plaza, also, an inn could be found and it was also only connected to it by a small bridge. The warriors could not help but surprise a little about that strange architecture, considering it was surrounded by fortified walls, it may have had recurring battles with other cities in the past... not that there was any other city on its vicinity. Perhaps those enormous walls had proved to be efficient, still not to stop a pirates' invasion though?
By the moment they entered town, they were notified by some of the residents that the place was invaded by the pirates and that they had to be careful not to mess with them. At least that part of Matoya's story was real, Squall thought. But then again, would they be able to negotiate with pirates to get a ship? After all, those scoundrels were in the middle of an invasion.
"This is Pravoka town" a resident told them "the pirates have come! We don't know what to do!"
"Who's their leader?! We'll speak to him!" Zidane told him
"His name is Bikke... you will recognize him for his hat with a distinctive skull on it"
"A hat with a skull... so unheard of!" Zidane joked
