Wirepaw's pov
As Wirepaw waited for Tilleypaw's reaction, he caught her glancing at him and then Wrenpaw. Her smaller body was rippling with warmth and he heard a small purr come from her mouth.
"Wow...." Wirepaw could only just make out her happy but sad reaction. He shivered as a gust of mild wind gushed through the clearing through all the cats pelts. It had just turned into leaf-bare and it was getting colder and colder. "Th-that's just a-wonderful." she looked at Wirepaw and he smiled deeply. Wrenpaw was standing up straight, his pelt glimmering. "How long have they been due for?" Tilleypaw suddenly asked, the hairs on her pelt boofing up against the wind that was picking up.
"Well...." Cypressfoot started as he looked hesitantly at Lindsaystream.
"You weren't here when we could tell you, as you went to the Aurora Pond, but Kitkat and Cycloneheart told us the day you left. But we couldn't tell you until you woke." Lindsaystream was biting her lip a little, waiting for her reaction. But all Tilleypaw did was sigh and smile.
"That's okay." Tilleypaw blinked kindly and dipped her head.
"They are expected in a half moon or a moon." Lindsaystream added as she padded away, giving one last nice glance to Wirepaw and his brother and sister. Tilleypaw looked happy but Wirepaw could tell she was a bit shocked and sad. Maybe she felt replaced? He didn't want to say anything. Lindsaystream and Cypressfoot were flank to flank, purring. Out of nowhere, Sunflowerstem and Fleurface appeared. They were smiling, unusually happily.
"what! you're expecting kits!" Fleurface jumped in delight although she looked hesitant.
"That's great!!" Sunflowerstem added and did a little dance on her paws.
"Yes we are. Now if you'll excuse us, we have to talk about something in private, we will just go to the outside of camp and stay there. C'mon Cypressfoot." Lindsaystream flicked her tail happily and trotted off with Cypressfoot at her heels. Wirepaw glanced back at Fleurface and Sunflowerstem who were now expressionless.
"Would you, um, come with us, Wirepaw?" Sunflowerstem randomly spoke to Wirepaw. Out of anyone, you chose me? Umm....okay.
"S-sure i guess." He glanced over to Tilleypaw and Wrenpaw. They looked worriedly at him but they smiled a little."Oh, and we need......Yinpaw, Ombrépaw and Branchgaze...." Wirepaw didn't feel comfortable as the other cats he was going with cane over. Fleurface was telling Dolphinstar something and then she nodded and Fleurface trotted back to them.
"What's this for?" Branchgaze whispered into Wirepaw's ear. Branchgaze's thick brown fur moved as they started to walk.
"Dunno....but this is weird. Keep an eye out for anything." Wirepaw watched ahead as the two she cats led them out the back entrance of the camp and started to head through the forest. Wirepaw felt the air getting colder as they got out of MysteryClan's camp as there were so many bodies in the camp. Wirepaw heard the chirping of birds and the sound of a waterfall and a river. The Circular Waterfall had a river coming from the mountains that flowed all the way down the mountain, across the greenland and into the waterfall itself. A few cats had survived somehow but only a few had fallen in. He had heard about a great cat called Freedomstar that had fell in and had got out of the river just as he was about to fall down the waterfall and vanish to thin air. Also a young apprentice, Clawpaw that later became Clawaura had fell into the waterfall, just hanging on by a thin trunk of tree,
waiting there for a few minutes until finally another cat, Falldaisy came and saved him. As they kept walking, the sound of the river got louder and the smell of pure, fresh water tainted the air, making Wirepaw take a deep breath. Up ahead, Sunflowerstem and Fleurface were chatting and casually looking back at the group of cats to make sure they were following."Why did we get sent here? And most of all. Why with them?" Ombrépaw flicked her tail annoyedly and bitterly as they finally came to a halt at the riverside.
"We're here." Sunflowerstem declares and the cats looked around in confusion. Wirepaw looked at the mossy ground that was soft underpaw. His gaze travelled along the river as he watched it magically disappear off into The Circular Waterfall.
"Yeah, what're we doing here?" Yinpaw piped up, his tone all dry and still sad from Coralmask and Glamourlight's death.
"You'll see, just wait a couple of heartbeats, we'll make sure everything is okay. We will just go into the trees and catch a squirrel and come back, promise you won't come back?" Sunflowerstem eyed every single cat until they nodded and then her and Fleurface disappeared.
"Weird...." Branchgaze sniffed the air, his nose wrinkling as he sniffed.
"What."
"Can't smell anything...." Branchgaze went on, looking around.
A few heartbeats passed and no noise came from the group of cats, they were fixed in their own thoughts. Wirepaw was stuck on why Tilleypaw had gone to the Aurora Pond. Ackleypaw was now getting quite close to her. Wirepaw still didn't know who he liked, he started to like Cedarpaw but she didn't even talk to him.
"Guys........" Branchgaze said, his new barely a whisper and Wirepaw could sense fear and uncertainty hanging on all the cats pelts. Also uncomfortableness. His pelt shaking to ruffle up as he watched around for any cats or badgers, even foxes. A twig snapped from behind them on the other side of the river, making Wirepaw and his other companions jump and jerk around to look at the other side of the river. A faint tortoiseshell coloured cat was hiding behind a pine tree and Wirepaw could see a black and white cat and a navy cat. They stepped out from the shadowed trees and padded out into view. They came closer and stopped at the rivers edge.
"And who may you be?"
