Wirepaw's pov

"And who are you." The navy she cat asked all four of the cats again.

"Why would we tell you." Ombrépaw instantly replied, her claws already unsheathed and dig into the moss.

"Oh, they're puny little cats from that weak clan, MysteryClan, am i right?" The black and white tom responded, flicking an ear.

"No. Maybe we can get a little information out of them. You know, just to get down to the point. We will leave straight after you tell us, we aren't on your territory, are we now. Don't be so fierce with us. I will just say now, I am Jig." The black and white tom walked in a small circle around himself.

"You don't even make sense. That sentence made no sense." Wirepaw finally felt he could make an input into the conversation.

"Right....do i have to tell you my name, bird-brain?" The tortoiseshell growled making Wirepaw flinch for no reason.

"As if i'd tell you my name." Wirepaw retorted, glancing at the other cats for backup.

"The we'll make you tell us everything about you. You can come out of hiding now." The tortoiseshell called to the bushes and Wirepaw looked around to be shocked as he saw five almost identical cats.

"Vinelgrass, Twigedsnap, Twingedangle, Jengapile and Havenpelt, deal with these intruders." The five cats rounded the four cats up, making them back up to the waters edge.

"Can't escape now, can you." One of the cats bared their cats and snapped at them.

Yinpaw tried to sneak out of the group but one of the cats held him down, teeth bared, claws extended. Yinpaw's eyes widened but the cat got off him. Yinpaw scrambled to his paws.

"Get back in the group." The cat growled menacingly.

"Uh, umm. Stop, please." Ombrépaw seemed more vulnerable than before as she was looking around, scared.

"Make a deal? We tell you our names and you leave?" Branchgaze quickly mewed, his voice shaking.

They stopped and exchanged glances before nodding.

"I-i'm Branchgaze, this is Ombrépaw, Wirepaw and Yinpaw, we were just with two others b-but they went to hunt."

"Hmmm...." One of them was still glaring. The cats stepped aside to let the biggest and most muscular cat through. the tom, twice the size of Wirepaw, stared down at them. He then gathered his group in a huddle and whispered a few words, and then they all stood in a line.

"On my count." The tom held his tail up high. Wirepaw didn't get what they were doing.

"What—" Wirepaw started but got cut off as one of the cats knocked into him, sending him flying off the mossy ground and into the water. The air was already quite cold. Wirepaw gasped midair, his paws flailing as he started to fall into the water. He could hear a cheer from Jig, the navy she cat. Not thinking twice, he started to flail his paws so his head would hopefully not break the surface and go under. He forced his mouth closed as he hit the icy water and disappeared under the surface.

Cedarpaw's pov

"All cats gather here!" Dolphinstar's call rung out to the camp. Most cats were already their as they only just got back from a patrol of some sort. "Fleurface and Sunflowerstem are just teaching Ombrépaw, Yinpaw, Branchgaze and Wirepaw some tricks by the river, they should be back in a sunrise or so." Cedarpaw winced at Wirepaw's name. She knew that Tilleypaw and Wrenpaw would t be happy for him to be away for a while.

"At least those two feather-heads are out of camp." Brackenpaw was whispering to Islandpaw and Jaypaw. Surprisingly she seemed a little more confident as she spoke but it looked as if she immediately regretted saying anything and she shook back into her pelt.

No one complained. There were murmurs but no one was actually speaking up.

We gotta discuss this. Come over to outside the medicine den. Cinderpaw was already padding over there, Honeypaw following with her head down, as well as Tilleypaw, Ackleypaw and Briarpaw that followed. They all gathered just near the mouth of the den, sitting down one after another.

Almondpaw was off talking with Grasspaw and Starlingpaw and Sparrowpaw, Hazelpaw and the other Cinderpaw were talking to a few warriors and also Duskystar.

This isn't normal, or right. Fleurface and Sunflowerstem were planning something weren't they.

Well. They wouldn't just randomly ask any cat to leave without telling the cat themself what they're doing. I know that they weren't told what was going on. Cinderpaw was sliding her claws in and out.

How is Shark? Sorry for the random question, but how's he holding up?

He's good, he was thinking of becoming a warrior in MysteryClan but Saffronspeck is uneasy about it.

Oh.

Yeah.

Well what're gonna do about Wirepaw and the others first?

I have...............absolutely no idea. Honeypaw was biting her lip as her tail flicked lightly in the air. Wolfpaw, who was next to Cedarpaw, was shivering as it suddenly got colder. The air was become darker and cloudier. The first drops of rain fell onto Cedarpaw and she felt the icy cold water seep through her fur and onto her skin. she trembled.

Oh no. Ackleypaw's eyes widened as his sharp gaze looked around the damp and uneven clearing.

Oh dear, yes, Ackleypaw, i know too. Lunarpaw suddenly mewed, Cedarpaw has forgotten she was there.

Yeahh..........?? Brackenpaw asked nervously, glancing in every direction.

Another battle has come. Ackleypaw managed to blurt the words out.

Sabre! Honeypaw sneered.

AuroraClan no! Why! Briarpaw looked at the sky and wailed silently.

It will be coming soon, we must prepare. Lunarpaw, what will we do? Ackleypaw fixes his gaze on Lunarpaw. Cedarpaw shivered as more rain came down.

We will just get all the stuff we need, and hope no one dies, Ackleypaw, your warrior assessment is very soon, maybe they could do it tomorrow or the next day? See what you can do, ask anyone. We must be ready. Ackleypaw and i will tell you when it's the day of the battle, we can sense what is happening, but i don't know yet, just ask once a day and we'll answer with what we know. Okay. Let's do it. we can win the second battle.
