Soon as I walked into the hospital I felt something take over me I don't know what, but suddenly my blood turned cold, I could feel my body shift and I got light headed.

"I'm here to see Ma'kai and Katy Vasquez."I said softly."Okay here are your passes. Do you know where they are?"she asked me nicely."Yes.I do."I said nicely walking away.

"Hello."I answered my phone annoyed."We have to talk."I heard smooth stern voice."About what?"I said getting scared."Business. Meet me at Mrs.Davis coffee shop."He said hanging up the phone as I got in front of Ma'kai room.

"Hey!"The doctor called after me."Hello."I said meeting his face."So I've been needing to talk to you, but I could never catch you."He said looking at his clipboard."I'm sorry to say, but Ma'kai isn't doing any better he's actually doing worse."He said sadly."If I were in his shoes I would want you to let us pull it. No one wants to suffer."He said softly walking away."But what if you were in my shoes?" I said to myself.

"What are you doing in here baby boy?"I said chuckling, teary eyed."Now you know I said I wouldn't go back into my old ways, but its so hard not to right now looking at you like this."I said wiping my tears walking up to him."Who did this to you?"I asked him, touching his head bandages, softly."What do you want me to do?"I asked him waiting for him to answer back."I love you, but you already know that." I said kissing his banage wrapped head."I need some time." I told Dr.Wang as I was walking out."You know where to find me."He said nicely.

Everything was hitting me at once Katy sickness BAM,My child being born BAM, Drama BAM and my brother getting shot B A M and I was turning into someone I said I'll never be.. again

"Hey baby."Katy said in a good mood."You look good."I said softly."So guess what?"she asked with a big smile."What?"I said getting Laila out her car seat."I get to come home."she said leaning up."That's good & you come back for your chemo often?"I asked her softly looking into her pretty eyes."Yes."She said softly."I should be getting released today."She added."Do you need a place to stay? I have an extra room at my house."I offered.

"No, its okay I'm going to stay with your aunt Lori."Okay." I said sitting in the chair taking a deep breath."Its not your fault baby."she said sadly."What are you talking about?" I said sitting back."Ma'kai. Its not your fault."She said reading me."Is he gone mom?" I asked her with a cracky voice."I believe so baby even though I don't want to."She said wiping her tears."Its up to me?"I asked her referring to pulling Ma'kai's cord."Yes."She said sadly."Put yourself in my shoes mommy."I said crying.

"I wish I could baby girl."she said softly.

"Just when I start to build myself back up, I get broken down again. It's always been me and him. Always. I dont think i can live without him mom."I said breaking down."Why me?"I asked her."I can't let him go & won't let him go without getting whoever did this to him."I said in rage with tears flowing."And then what? that's not going to make him come back."She said angry."But I'll feel better." I said getting up, putting Lai in her car seat, walking out.

"Hey, my love."I spoke softly to Christina."Hi."She said jolly."Are you still at Britt's?"I asked her."Yeah, the baby shower just now ending."she said softly."You sound like you been crying baby."She added."I have. Its a mess at that hospital."I said softly."How's Ma'kai?"she asked.

"I don't wanna talk about it."I said irritated."Okay."she said softly."Will I get to sleep with you tonight?"she asked."I don't know. I have to go check on his barbershop and then his house I might end up staying there."I said noticing smooth car parked next to mines."I'll talk to you later ok?" I said hanging up, walking up to smooth rolled down window.

"Stalker."I said to myself."What's going on?"I said leaning in his window."Get in." he said stern."Okay?"I said opening the back door sliding Laila car seat and myself in."What's up?"I asked him."Christina is not to be trusted."he said softly." What? you're just saying that."I said in denial."Why would I just say that? to break you guys up? I'm a nigga! Listen to me."He said turning around meeting my eyes."What happened to big bra cant happen to you."He said softly."Britt and Christina are planning on knocking you off too."he said loudly."What did you and Ma'kai do to these girls?"he asked me."That got your brother laying up there dead and you almost."he said yelling in my face."I know you guys got some secrets in the closet. Everyone does, but to help me understand this you have to open that closet."he said softly."Drive me to Ma'kai house."I said sitting back ignoring him.
