Realization.

Ka'i POV - One month later.

After everything that's been going on I finally stopped and found my mind, I've been enjoying my life, sitting back and no longer waiting for things.

Its only been a month and like a week since I went into total shut down mode, but it felt like some years. I was better and on track but, I still haven't came to terms with my mom death or Ma'kai's.

The beef shit wasn't over, but I was at it is what it is. I put it beside me it was no longer in front of me. Ever since it seemed like God was back on my side.

2 weeks ago, Petey was found in a warehouse dead.

Last weekend, McKenzie came up missing.

And no one has seen Britt.

Everything was happening in the order I was planning and I didn't have to do anything.

"Hello?"I answered my buzzing iPhone 6.

"Hi."Smooth deep voice spoke softly into the phone.

We haven't spoke since our episode at the barbershop and this was just plain weird.

"Hey. Are you ok?"I asked wondering why he was calling me at 3:16 am.

"No, I'm really not."He said sounding like he's been crying.

This was plain weird and I was starting to get so worried.

"What's wrong?"I asked softly, moving Bella off of me.

"My kids."He said breaking down.

I never heard him so broken let alone a man break down like this.

"Quincy." I said softly walking out of my room

"What's going on?"I asked him.

"Please just come to the hospital."He said softly.

"I need you."He added.

"I'll b there." I said softly.

Whatever was going on with his kids was serious and he needed me it was serious.

"Wake up Bell."I shook her softly."Come on."I said pulling her up.

"Put this on."I handed her leggings, hoodie and her uggs.

"Where we going?"A'mir asked with his sleepy voice."I have to go to the hospital, my friend needs me."I said softly.

"Come on."I said wrapping Lai up in a huge blanket.

Christina POV

"Why is he here?"I said to myself as I walked in for my night shift.

"Hey."I said to my co worker Kayla."Hey ma."She said softly. "What's going on tonight?"I asked being nosey.

"Freak accident."She said softly."What?" I asked again.

"So two toddlers are upstairs in the ICU right now fighting for their lives."She said.

"The father is over there."She said looking at smooth.

I instantly didn't want to know anymore, I just wanted to hug him.

"What happened?"I asked.

"They were hit by a car, while playing in their front yard."She said softly, teary eyed.

"Have they found who did it?" I asked.

"This is the craziest part."She said sadly.

"It was the mom."She said shaking her head." And the bitch admitted to it."
