Chapter 12: Spirit.

Mikoto's POV:

    I walked off with no particular destination in mind. I'm not much of a people person I'd rather be left alone with my thoughts. I'm not a guy who is social. I'd much rather be left alone. I never wanted to be a king but I became one anyways. I saw a park near by and decided to stop for a smoke. I saw that Munakata had followed me so I stopped and looked at him. "What do you want?" I asked him. "Why did you do it? Why did you save me?" He asked me. "Can't you figure it out?" I asked him with my normal annoyed and bored tone of voice. I sighed. "Look, Suoh, we may not be together anymore, fuck we may not be friends anymore, but that doesn't mean that we have to be like this." He said to me. I looked at him like he had lost his mind. "Like I said, it was your decision to end our relationship." I said to him bluntly.

    "Not mine or anyone else's. It was yours. And yours alone. Just because I saved your life doesn't mean that I still care. I've moved on. You need to as well and you know it. I don't want that life again." I said to him as I shook my head at him. "Souh." He said to me. "Stop Munakata just fucking stop. I don't care about you. Fuck maybe I should have let you die, but I didn't. I don't even know what I was thinking. So just stop." I said to him harshly as I heard the pain, and sadness in his voice as he spoke. He sighed but he said nothing more as he turned his back to me and walked away. I watched him leave. I heard a small rustle coming from behind me. I sighed. "Y/n, come out. I know your there." I said softly. She came out and walked over to me. "Are you ok?" She asked me. "I'm fine." I told her.

    "We should go back." She said to me. ".." I didn't say a word I just walked back the way I came. 'I know one thing was for certain.' I thought to myself as I kept walking. 'I'm happy she joined.' I watched her mingle with the rest of the clan. 'Funny.' I thought to myself. 'She's a lot like Totsuka...she reminds me of him in many ways.' I found myself thinking as I let out a soft chuckle as the boys greeted her with enthusiasm. ".." Izumo walked over to me. "You ok?" He asked me. I just nodded at him without saying a word. I felt someone staring at us. I turned and looked around. I saw Saruhiko watching us silently. His eyes locked with mine but he soon looked away from me and looked at Yata who wasn't paying any attention to him. I let out a sigh and walked over to him.

    He met my gaze as I walked over to him. "Fushimi, I didn't expect you to be hanging around here." I said to him coldly. "I wanted to see an old friend." He answered me. His eyes were trained on Yata. "Hmm." Was my response to him. We watch the clan mingle with each other without saying a word. "Fushimi!" I heard Munakata yell at him. "Coming!" He turned and shouted back at him. He turned and looked back at me. "..." We both looked at each other. I nodded at him a understanding passing between the two of us. "You better head back, Saruhiko, before Munakata gets pissed at you." I said to him. He chuckled then nodded back at me. "Yeah. Hey keep a watch on Yata for me. Will you please? He may be stupid at times, but hes a good, and loyal kid at heart. I don't want him to end up like me."

    He sadly explained to me. "Hmm." Was my response to him." He gave me a smile and walked off to Munakata. I watched him go. I turned back to my clan and watched in complete silence. Izumo looked at me and he looked back at the clan. "When all is said and done we couldn't have asked for a better king." He said to them. The clan nodded and murmured in agreement with him. 'And I couldn't have asked for a better clan.' I thought to myself as I smiled at my clan. My eyes landed on Y/n. I smiled at her and she smiled back at me. 'Let her guide and stay with us.' I thought to myself. I watched her mingle with the boys. I let out a small chuckle. 'She is our light.' I thought to myself. ".."  I said nothing. 'Let her be our light when we need her most. Let her be.... HOMRA's lion tamer.' I smiled at the thought. She saw me watching her. She walked over to me and gave me a kiss. I instantly kissed her back. After a few minutes she pulled away to get some air. "Y/n?" "Hm?" "Will you stay?" I asked her. She nodded at me.
