"Achoo!" I sneezed while waiting for class to start. "Idiot. You shouldn't have swam in the rain." Rin said to me. "But it looked so fun I just couldn't help myself!" I said. The teacher then walked in. "Good morning class." He said. "Today I will be introducing a new transfer student." Ten a tall boy with brown hair walked into the room. "This is Yamazaki Sousuke-kun, who is transferring here from Tokyo. Please make him feel welcome class." He goes to this school now? Yay! Now I can have all my friends back again! I looked at Rin and he and Sousuke were staring at each other. "Sousuke, you can sit next to Miss Ibuki-San. Please raise your hand Miss Ibuki." The teacher said. I raised my hand high and proud. I gave him a big smile and he gave me one back too.

Me and Rin were staring at Sousuke in the outside path of the school. I was trying to hold my happiness long enough until he could pass the real test. Rin's fist went flying towards Sousuke and Sousuke's went flying at Rin. They stopped and crossed their arms. They then high fives both ways, grabbed each others arms and pulled the other close. We then all started to laugh. "It's been a while Souske." Rin said. "Haven't it been five years?" Sousuke said. "I'm so glad to see you again!" I said, running up to him and pulling him into a crushing hug. "I'm glad to see you too Hibiki." He said. "Why would you transfer schools at this time of year though?" Rin asked. "You're one to talk." Sousuke said. "You were the one who transferred in the middle of winter when we were in sixth grade." "Oh yeah, I guess I did." Rin said. I then let go of Sousuke and regained my normal standing position. We then walked over to a part of a garden and sat on bricks, surrounding a plot of flowers. "So what brings you to Samezuka?" I asked him. "Weren't you going to a school in Tokyo with a strong swim team?" Rin said. "Well, I have my reasons." Sousuke replied. "What're you being so vague for. That's not like you." Rin said. "I just thought I'd spend my last year as a high school swimmer, in my hometown, enjoying it my way since I know where I will be going after high school" Sousuke replied. "Wait! You're not going to quit swimming are you!?" I said as I was spazzing out. "Calm down." Sousuke said. "I got scouted." "Huh?" Me and Rin both said. "Damn man! That's awesome!" Rin said as he was pushing Sousuke with his leg. "C'mon Rin, cut it out!" Sousuke said. I was laughing hysterically.

"Gather around!" I yelled in my loudest voice. "My name is Yamazaki Soussuke." Sousuke said, introducing himself to the team. "I transferred here from Tokitsu High School in Tokyo." "Yamazaki is ranked in the top ten in the country for butterfly." The advisor said. "Learn what you can from him." "Aye Sir!" We all said. "I'm the advisor, Sugimoto." The advisor said to Sousuke. "You already know Matsouka and Ibuki, yes? That saves us some time. Matsouka, Ibuki, I'll leave it to you two to show him around." "Aye sir." We said. "Welcome to the team Sousuke." Rin said. "Thanks, glad to be here." Sousuke replied, giving Rin a fist bump.

We were in our swimsuits stretching before we swam. "So this is a perfect swimmers body." Nitori said. Sousuke gave him a questioning look. "N-Nice to meet you! I'm Nitori Aichiro, second year. Welcome to our team!" "Nice to meet you too." Sousuke replied, his face expression lightening up. "Isn't Tokitsu High School's swim team one of the best in the country? That's amazing! And your friends with Matsouka Sempai and Hibiki Senpai! Does that mean your friends with Nanase-San and the others too?" Nitori said. "Sousuke was me and Rin's buddy from Sano Elementary. He's got nothing to do with Haruka." I said to Nitori. "I know about Nanase." Sousuke said, walking up to the block. "I once raced him a a tournament. My entire body buzzed with energy when I swam with him. I see why you're so taken with him." "Wha-!" Rin said as Sousuke dived into the water. "You three are really close, aren't you?" Nitori asked. "Yep!" I replied. "He's fast" Nitori said, watching Sousuke swim. "Raising his upper body unusually high above the surface reduces water resistance durning the recovery, making him faster." Rin said. "Wow! You're so smart!" I said. "That Sousuke, he's gonna do well for us." Rin said. "Oh! Then that amazing new member Captain Mikoshiba mentioned is..." Nitori started to say.
