I put my hand against the wall, signaling I had just finished my training regimen. I don't know why, it I've been working extra hard these past few days. I took my cap and goggles off and I looked up. Rin was extending his hand out to me. I took it and he pulled me up. "That was pretty fast." Rin said. "Thanks." I replied. I then dried my face off. "Is something wrong, you don't seem as cheery as usual." He asked me. "Oh, nothing's wrong." I replied. "Okay then." Rin replied.
I made it to my dorm room and saw the package laying outside of the door. I brought it in and opened it. I found three metal canisters, labeled with my families names. This must be their ashes. I set them on my nightstand, making a little memorial for them. I then placed a picture of them there. I then laid down on my bed, exhausted from today. After a while I realized, not once have I cried since I learned about my family member's deaths. What was wrong with me?
I then got a call from, Haruka? "Hello?" I asked. "Can you help us?" He asked. "Sure, where are you at?" I asked. "My place." He replied. "I'll be there as quick as I can." I replied, I then hung up. I grabbed my money and phone then headed out of the door.
I walked through the front door. "Excuse me?"I asked. "Ah! You're here Hibiki! You're our only hope left! Nagisa ran away from home and he won't tell us why! Make him say please!" Makato begged me. "Oh, okay." I said. "He's in the living room." Rei said. I nodded and walked in. I saw Nagisa looking outside. I went as sat by him. "I heard you ran away from home." I said to him. "H-Hibiki?" He looked surprised to see me. "Hi Nagisa." I replied. "The guys told me you ran away from home." I said. He just scooted himself tighter. "You know those stories, that when Rin left for Australia, I disappeared right?" I asked. He looked at me and nodded. "The while time I was gone, I was in America." I replied. Nagisa looked shocked. "My parents were fighting a lot, they brought me into their fights and said how stupid swimming was and that they should make me quit. I had enough of that. So I stole a bunch of money and took a one way trip to America to live with my grandmother I ran away from home." I could feel tears start to well up. "But my grandma die and I moved back here, that's when I saw you guys again." "So you ran away from home too?" Nagisa said. "Yep." I replied. "But now, I kinda regret it." "Why?" he asked me. "Well, because when I got back here I didn't see my parents or my younger brother." I replied. "And, there's a big secret that only I know. My parents and my brother died in a car crash a few days ago. I regret my decision to go because maybe if I stayed, just maybe, I could see them and try to have fun with them." Nagisa looked shocked. His mouth was hanging open. I sniffles and wiped away the single tear that was on my cheek. "You shouldn't leave your mouth open like that Nagisa, bugs might fly in." I replied, chuckling a little. "Just remember Nagisa, you have plenty of friend you can trust and talk to, just like how I shared my secret with you. So please talk to them. I'm sure they'll understand anything you'll have to say." With that I got up and left. "Did you get any information?" Rei asked. "No, but I think he's ready to talk to you guys now." I replied. All of their eyes widened in shock. I then left.
