"I heard you got a ton of calls Rin-Senpai! Congratulations!" Nitori said to Rin.
He was on a machine doing pull up things, Souske was working on his arms, and I was lifting a little weight on my invited wrist, but a heavy weight on my other wrist, the one with my charm bracelet on.
"Thanks, but if scouts are contacting me, they must be contacting Haru too." Rin said. "I can't loose to him again, I can defiantly win next time!" He then put his feet back to solid ground again.
"That reminds me," Rin said, Turing to face Souske. "The university you're going to reached out to me too. It depends on their offer of course, but who knows? We may be swimming on the same team even after we graduate!"
The weight on Souske's machine suddenly dropped and he walked over to the bench I was sitting on.
"Is something wrong?" Rin asked.
"Nothing's wrong." Souske replied. I then felt a sharp pain in my hurt wrist, indicating that I had done too much. I dropped the wight and it hit the ground with a thud.
"Dammit." I mumbled under my breath.
"Hey Souske, something's been off about you since yesterday." I started to say as I was putting my brace back on. "During the race I saw you lost momentum for a second. Are you not feeling well?" Souske didn't reply.
"Why aren't you saying anything? Spit it out!" Rin yelled.
"Rin-Senpai please don't fight!" Nitori begged.
"I know. This isn't a fight." Rin replied. "Souske, let's head somewhere else." Rin made a motion with his hand to indicate Souske to follow him.
I looked over at Nitori as the two walked away. He looked worried.
"Don't you worry Nitori." I said to him as I put my arm on his shoulder, using him as a arm rest. He looked up at me.
"Trust me, if you would have known those two for as long as I have, I'm sure there is nothing at all to worry about." I said, giving Nitori a big smile afterwards.
------
I laid in my bed that night, thinking about what to do now. I've gotten a bunch of scouting calls but I don't know if I should accept then or not. I looked over at the charm bracelet on my wrist.
"I just want to be with my friends a little while longer." I whispered to myself. "Is that too much to ask?"
