A.N: hello there! hows it going? sorry bout the suuuper long wait, but i hope it was worth it!
Lizzie's POV:
It's our first day of school. I am completely dreading going to this new public school; Elaine, however, is completely ecstatic about it.
Probably the worst thing about it is that Jonathan came barging into my room at four o'clock am.
"Lizzie, get up!" he screamed. I groaned and smothered myself with the pillow to block out his voice.
"I will be down in ten minutes," I muttered. He probably couldn't hear me though because the soft pillow is in the way.
He sighed and sat next to me in the bed, "C'mon, Liz. You'll be late for your first day Jefferson High."
I removed the pillow from my face and there he was. I looked into his beautiful eyes and replied, "Okay fine."
He jumped off the bed and clapped his hands once, "Great! I made breakfast." He smiled and left the room, leaving me there to wonder what is going to happen at school.
I soon found out that all my clothes are a little indecent. Once I went through my new clothing, I settled with a pair of jean shorts and a pink off-the-shoulder shirt. How people wear this clothing without wanting to hide behind a bush, I do not know.
I arrived in the kitchen to a whole array of foods. I don't even know what any of them are; well, except for the grapes. Elaine, Johnny, and Joshua are sitting at the amazing dining room.
"Hey there, Lizard." Josh said to me with a grin. Lizard is what he use to call me all the time.
I gave him a warm smile and glided over to the mahogany table. I sat down beside Jonathan who had piled food onto my plate. "You look good," he whispered into my hair.
I smiled at him and began eating the delicious food on the large white plate.
The three of us finally got to school with nine minutes to spare. Joshua, since he's been here for almost a year, led us to the front office.
"Hi, Mrs. Wagner. These two ladies are new to this school." Josh told the receptionist.
"Oh, yes. Elaine and Lizzie right?"
"Correct," Elaine said from behind me.
I glanced down at the paper she handed us and instantly recognized everything. Jonathan spent all day yesterday teaching us about public school.
As we walked out of the office, I was overwhelmed with the amount of people in this one hallway. I looked over at Elaine with wide eyes.
How are we even going to move? I thought to myself. There's around 200 people just in the hall!
"You ready?" I heard Lainey say over the crowded noise.
"I guess."
She nodded her head as we both pushed through the people to get to first period. Thankfully, we had the same class.
We entered the Algebra II classroom approximately three minutes after the bell rang.
"You're late!" the teacher barked without looking up.
"We're new." Elaine said right after.
He looked at us curiously and said-softer this time, "Oh, sorry. Do you have your schedule?"
"Yes, sir." I said. When I glanced at the class, all the boys looked at us with lust in their eyes, and the girls with disgust and jealousy in theirs.
This outta be interesting, I thought as we both handed him the paper. He kept on glancing up at Elaine.
"Okay, have a seat anywhere." He addressed us.
We both scanned the seats. I spotted one in the middle, and Elaine walked towards the back.
I took my seat next to a boy and girl. "Hey, there hottie. What's your name?" I looked over at the guy seeing him wink at me.
"Lizzie." I told him glancing away.
"Lizzie. That's a beautiful name." he winked again, but didn't answer him. I hope he gets the hint that I don't want to talk to him. He looked back to the front and cleared his throat a little.
When I looked back at Elaine, I saw her having the same problem, except her guy is a bit more persistent.
Someone tapped my shoulder and handed me a folded up piece of paper. I opened it slowly, and read what it said:
Fuck me?
Huh? What does that even mean? Oh well. I crumpled up the paper and shoved it into my bag.
The bell finally rung, signalling that the period is now over. Elaine and I were probably the first ones out of our seat. However, the boy that was talking to her followed us out.
"Hey, wait!" he yelled when we were out of the room.
"What?" I saw Elaine whirl on the boy.
He smiled and asked, "Can I get your number?"
"I told you this before. I don't have a phone."
"Well, I thought you were lying."
"Trust me, I'm a horrible liar." She said.
"Hey, Elaine, I have to go search for my next class. Bye." I told her.
She smiled and said, "Okay. Bye, Liz."
I'll have to ask her how it went with the boy once we get home.
