Yeeun's POV:

I nervously knocked on Mingi's front door before wiping my clammy hands on my jeans. I wasn't sure what he would do to me for missing his game, but unfortunately, I was about to find out.

Footsteps came towards the door before it swung open, revealing a shirtless Mingi in sweatpants. For some reason, his muscles seemed to stand out more, making me feel extremely small and intimidated.

Mingi said nothing as he reached out and harshly tugged on my wrist, pulling me inside. "Where the hell were you?" He spat, wasting no time to shove me to the ground.

I winced as my shoulder hit the tiled floor with great force. "I-I'm sorry," I stuttered. The Mingi that had been treating me so good the past few days was gone, replaced by the monster inside of him that I was a little too familiar with.

I knew it wasn't going to last anyway. "That's not answering my question, Yeeun," he snarled, lifting me up by the collar of my jacket and pulling me uncomfortably close. I gulped, unable to get any words out.

"Answer me!" Mingi shouted in my face, making me flinch. "I-I completely forgot about the game, but I'm really sorry. It won't happen again, I promise." I assured him in a shaky voice.

He growled in the back of his throat before throwing me against a nearby wall. "It better not happens again," he warned, glaring at me with dark eyes. I gulped and watched as he marched away and disappeared into the kitchen.

I stayed in place, trembling against the wall. Releasing the breath, I didn't know I was holding, I slid down the wall, pulling my knees into my chest and burying my face in my arms.

I sat there for at least five minutes, just waiting for Mingi to come back and throw me around some more. But as the minutes passed, it became clearer and clearer that he was done. At least for now.

Shakily, I stood up and walked into the kitchen. Mingi was leaning against the counter and staring at the wall blankly. I couldn't tell if he was still mad or not, which was one thing I absolutely hated. His moods are impossible to read sometimes, and I need to know how he's feeling so that I can determine whether I'm safe or not.

"Mingi." I spoke softly, trying to grasp his attention. His eyes didn't leave the wall and he stayed silent. I sighed softly, bowing my head.

"Come here," he muttered suddenly, making my head pop back up. He was looking at me, but his facial expression remained emotionless. I didn't want to make him any angrier, so I slowly walked over to him.

Once I was in front of him, he put his hands on my waist and pulled me into his chest before wrapping his strong arms around me. He must have just showered because he smelled good. I took in quicker breaths, just so I could inhale his intoxicating scent as much as possible. It relaxed me a bit.

"I was worried about you," Mingi murmured into my hair. "I thought something happened to you when I couldn't find you in the bleachers."

I suddenly felt bad. I knew I shouldn't have felt bad and that he should've been the one feeling guilty for what he did just minutes ago. But I couldn't blame him for being worried.

"I'm sorry." I apologized again as he kissed the top of my head. He sighed and pulled away, moving his hands to my upper arms and suddenly gripping them tightly. I whimpered quietly at the harsh pressure he was putting on my arms.

"Dont let it happen again. Understand?" He growled, his eyes darkening once again. I nodded my head, fearfully, telling him that I understood. His eyes slowly faded back to their normal color and I relaxed a bit. But the grip on my arms was still harsh and it was starting to hurt.
