"So, that means he's coming here?"

" well, yeah. He is my boyfriend Finn. It's normal for Boyfriends and girlfriends to see each other. He said he just misses me."

"I'm not saying anything."

He had heard rumors that it was over, that he had really messed up, so naturally it came as a shock to hear that he was coming to Atlanta to visit her. More shocking then when he found out they were dating to begin with. Out of all the boys who fall at her feet she went for him?
Maybe he's being a bit harsh on the kid. After all he hasn't really met him, just heard of him. But if the recent rumors are true, then he will do anything he can to show her she deserves more.

" do you want to meet him?"

Millie is just as nervous as Finn, if not more. She knows that all her friends saw the videos that went around. They've been kind enough as to not bring it up, especially since they know she's still with him.  She can't help it really. He explained that it was all fake and that they were lying. Even the girl had said she lied, but even with that she understands that they might not like him.

" I uh, I'm good Mills, I have rehearsal early tomorrow so-"  Finn cringed at how unbelievable he sounded, he just knows she didn't buy it.

Millie nods and heads out of their shared trailer, feeling a bit upset that he decided to lie. She doesn't blame him. Millie believes one hundred percent that they wouldn't get along. Jacob is very , well... Jacob. He's a bit too loud and sometimes says and does some questionable things. Finn , on the other hand, is such a genuine person. He can always make her laugh and is there whenever or for whatever she needs him. He's a true friend in her opinion. One she can't imagine herself without.

Finn walks up to a white wooden door basically throws down the door with his load knocks. Seconds later he hears footsteps rushing over.

"Jesus Finn, you scared me. What are you doing here anyway? It's almost one in the morning " The short red head said to him as she stepped aside to let him in. By what he can see,hair tossed up, old t shirt and some shorts with her bunny slippers, he woke her up.
" Sorry I woke you sades. This was a bad idea. I sho-" he began turning around and back outside when she pulled his arm and led him to the kitchen.

" hey no. I couldn't sleep anyway. I came down here for some cookies. You want some?"
" glass of milk?"  Sadie gave him a thumbs and asked him to reach for the glasses that were in the top cabinet. They sat by the breakfast bar next to each other and were silent for a minute. Just the two of them devouring the Oreos placed between them each chugging down their glasses of  milk. It was after he had swallowed his fourth cookie that Finn finally asked what he had come to ask.

" did she tell you he was coming?"

Sadie, being caught mid bite, put the cookie down and turned to face her clearly upset friend. " I thought she told you."

"Me? Why?" Finn turned to face  her now and gave her a very confused look.

"Because she tells you everything. I'm not the one she comes to, Finnie. I'm her friend, yes, but I'm not her bet friend. You two share a bond that can't be matched, therefore she's closest to you." Sadie pointed out in a sort of 'duh' tone and grabbed her cookie.

"She's close to Noah." Finn pointed out and went to grab another cookie.

"That's because they're closer in age. But trust me when I say it's you she trust more."

They sat quietly for a few more minutes when Finn broke the silence once more.

"Whose your best friend?"

" oh just this dork who wakes me up late at night to talk about this girl he likes and eat cookies till we get sick" Sadie nudges his elbow and shuffles his already messy hair.

" you offered the cookies, sink"

" touché Wolfie." Finn rolled his eyes at her choosing to ignore the other part of the statement she said but failing miserably.

"Have you met him? " Sadie asks as she leans her head on his bony shoulder, which brings him a small comfort.

"She asked me if I wanted to earlier." 

" why didn't you go?"

" I don't know. I told her I had rehearsal later on today. But that was a lie." He feels her nod her head and place her hand on top of his.

" you've never told her how you feel have you?" Although he knows she can't see him, he shakes his head and lets out a small breath.

"She's very important to me Sadie, I don't want to ever lose my relationship with her. Being there for her as a friend is enough for me right now."
The red head shakes her head again agreeing with the boy.

"I'm sorry you're stuck in the friend zone wolfie."

Finn lets out a small chuckle and rest his head on top of hers.

" I'm still important in her life. That's all that matters."

Years will pass by and there will be other boys. Some that are perfect for her and others not so much. All these boys will come and go, except for four. And out of those four there will be one who almost gave up and left. He'd lose his mind over the fact that she can't see how much he loves her and he'd want to walk away but the red head will drag him into Millie's house and demanded he tell her how he felt. Their story won't be perfect. It will have many bumpy roads and there will be plenty of times when he finds himself on that counter eating half a packet of oreos and letting out his frustration. And after all those late nights, he would one day be sitting at a table with Millie and hearing Sadie add up how many Oreos they've eaten over the course of the years. It will take a while to get to this point,he'll have to suffer for a while, watching the love of his life date others but he won't say a word to her about how it hurts, because he knows everything will eventually get to that point. So yes, for now he's content with just being her best friend.

3 things!

1) Never meant to will have slow updates because I can't figure  out the next chapter and how it can tie into the overall story. I love the story and I just want the end to be perfect. 

2) Decided to make oneshots of songs because they inspire me most and because  I already have a few written. You'd like to recommend a song, let me know! Always open to suggestions!

3) Fuck, and I can't stress this enough, Patricia for ruining that live steam! Everything was perfect! The boy was happy and having fun with his friends and family and then she decided to take it TOO FAR! and scare the boy. Patricia is cancelled! Being a fan is supporting the celebrity and being happy for them, not making them feel scared or uncomfortable that you found their address.!!! Why can't they leave the poor kid alone! He already has anxiety and you make it worse! He's a celebrity, yes, but above that he's still a kid trying to live a life and enjoy life with his loved ones.
