Nalu's Point of View
And for all I know nagtanong lang naman ako ng maayos kay Olivia and it went just like that.
How dare she point at my face at the same time talagang nilapit niya pa ang pangit niyang mukha sa akin.
If this was a small school, that would be great. Where can I get school materials around here? If I fail the exam, my mother will undoubtedly be upset.
"Ouch!"
What the hell? Malas ba ako ngayong araw. Hindi na ako natutuwa.
Someone extended his hand out to me.
He had a certain look that allowed him to stand out from the throng: a fair skin against a pair of dark, golden eyes. There was an inexplicable, distant look on his face. His smile, caused his eyes to crinkle which revealed his humility and modesty.
"Miss? Okay ka lang?" He asked.
"Obviously not." Matipid na sambit ko. Tumayo ako at agad-agad na nag pagpag ng palda at umalis na. Talagang dudumihan pa niya ang uniform ko.
Some students may have completed their exams already. But how about me?
I am always first in line. Palagi akong priority, but in this school. Hindi. They don't know me.
"Hello, Miss. Anong bibilhin mo?"
The voice sounds familiar! Aha! Ikaw yung nakabangga sa akin.
"Isang Mongol number 2 pencil." I rolled my eyes.
"Ayan, tinasahan ko pa yan para sayo." Ngiting sabi niya. Sinabi ko bang tasahan mo? Masyado ka namang feeling close.
"Oh by the way, do you accept cards or gcash? I don't have any cash." I asked with a smirk.
Umiling siya. What the hell is going on!? So, paano ko ito babayaran if they are not accepting those kinds of payment.
"Hayaan mo na, Miss. Ten pesos lang naman iyan." Inabot niya ang pencil ng libre sa akin. Dahil sa pagmamadali ko ay agad ko iyong kinuha.
Tumalikod ako at nagmamadaling bumalik sa classroom.
Luckily, nakarating ako on time. I was running through the hallways and Olivia was halfway through the test paper. And there's still that weird smile from that evil proctor. I'm hoping that I won't get her as my teacher.
"Are you done?" Olivia happily asked.
"Malapit na." I just smiled at her and patuloy ako sa pag shade at pag sagot ng iba pang numbers na nilaktawan ko kanina. Pinaalala ko na lang sa sarili ko na if I'm not sure with my answers, I can just skip them and go back once I'm done with the rest.
Once we finished the test, I reached out to my trusted driver, Mang Hernan, and requested a ride to Style Boulevard, an opulent mall in the heart of Makati City.
As we entered the mall, Olivia's eyes widened in amazement. The gleaming storefronts and designer boutiques seemed like a world away from her modest home. Mang Hernan and I escorted her to a high-end clothing store, where she selected a stunning dress that made her feel like a princess.
Afterwards, we indulged in a delectable meal at an exclusive restaurant. Olivia savored every bite, marveling at the exquisite flavors and impeccable service. As we dined, Mang Hernan shared stories of his travels and the wealthy clients he had encountered over the years.
With her stomach full and her spirits soaring, Olivia requested a visit to a hairstylist. Her looks were transformed into a masterpiece of style and elegance. Olivia could hardly believe her reflection in the mirror.
I purchased an expensive milk tea at a trendy café and as Olivia sipped her sweet beverage, she couldn't help but smile. Her dream of experiencing wealth had come true, even if it was only for a day.
Masaya ako na gawin ito sa mga taong deserve nilang maramdaman na they are worth it. Even if I don't receive any in return my heart is happy to help.
As the sun began to set, I decided to take Olivia back to her home.
"Hindi ko alam papaano ako makakabawi sayo." Nangingilid ang luha ni Olivia. Niyakap ko siya nang mapansin kong nasa tapat na kami ng bahay nila.
As she stepped out of the car, she felt a surge of gratitude for the unexpected adventure that had unfolded.
"Kitakits ulit bukas Nalu. Salamat sa paghatid." Sinarado ni Olivia ang pinto ng kotse na may ngiti sa kanyang labi.
