First stop of the evening was dinner:  the restaurant was an all you can eat place and the food was delicious! It offered Indian, Italian, Mexican, French, American, British and Portuguese food and me and Josh had been to every station! The restaurant itself was rather large, with a shiny black marble floor, it had a selection of large round tables that could seat 12-14 people but on the far end wall it had small booths with tables for 2-4 people. Looking around all the other tables had a single flower vase holding a rose but on our table there was a single oriental lily instead (My favourite!). We ate our meal commenting on the food and talking, Josh spent most of it laughing his head off because I was constantly blushing and trying to get my hair to hide my face. He kept staring at me, and when he caught me staring he would lick his lips or bite on his bottom lip watching as my cheeks burned furiously. Damn him! I must have been as red as the belt at my waist.

Eventually, after consuming our body weight in food, we were finished, we called over a waitress to bill us. As the waitress walked over I rolled my eyes and Josh gave me a questioning look, but I shook it off. He would understand eventually. The penny dropped as the girl came over red faced, “Ally! Darling, I haven’t seen you in ages!! How are you doing? And WHO is this your with sweety?” the waitress, Rebecca, asked way too over enthusiastically. I knew her from secondary school, and had probably spoken to her for less than 15 minutes in the five years that I saw her everyday. I was not her darling, and I was not her sweety. “Hi Rebecca, im very well thankyou, how are you?” I would be courteous, after all she wasn’t mean. We just didn’t particularly have anything to say to each other.

“Ah sweety, im fine thanks! Shattered, working hours are so long! So WHO is this your with?” she asked again, Josh grinned, and then introduced himself. “Hello my name is Joshua; it’s very nice to meet you Rebecca.” I saw her eyes widen, and she quickly took his hand and shook it holding on for dear life. I rolled my eyes as I knew full well where Rebecca was going was this. She was the kind of girl who spent high school thinking that every girl wanted to be her and every guy wanted to be with her, when in fact the situation was very different indeed. “Um Rebecca, we are ready for the bill thanks” I said staring at her, I could feel Josh’s eyes on me and I refused to look at him knowing I would just start blushing. Cutesy, embarrassed Ally is not a look I want to be wearing right now. Rebecca flipped her hair over her shoulder and gave a Josh a wide flirtatious smile, “is there anything else at all you would like?” I choked on my drink, did she really just say that? I thought that was a line only used in cliché films! Josh simply continued staring at me as he replied to her “that’ll be all thankyou”. With a little ‘hmph’ Lauren turned on her heel and stormed off to the front desk.

Putting my drink down on the table I turned to stare at Josh, who was sitting back in his seat, with arms crossed over his chest laughing lightly to himself. “I should make you jealous more often, it’s a very attractive look on you Sweety” he teased. “Uggh!” I groaned, and Josh leaned across the table. He picked up my hands and held them close to his face, just close enough so his lips brushed my knuckles as he spoke “she has got absolutely nothing on you.”

Rebecca returned to the table and dropped the bill jacket on to the table. “put the money in there, leave it on the table, enjoy your evening” she said emotionlessly. “Oh we will, im sure” Josh said suggestively. She glared at the two of us and then stormed off, lord help the rest of her customers tonight.

Smirking, Josh pulled out his wallet and paid for the dinner and then picked his jacket up off the back his chair. He held my hand and led me through the floor of tables and out of the restaurant.

I looped my arm through his and snuggled up closer to him and he swung his arm over my head and hugged me closer. We walked towards the car, snuggled up to one another, it was getting quite cold now as the evening progressed.

When we finally got back in the car, I stared at the dashboard trying to find the button to turn the heating on. I ran my fingers across all the buttons and dials and couldn’t for the life of me figure it out, I looked at Josh to ask for help and he lazily poked at a button that I had looked at three times already. God I must be stupid! Or maybe this thing just has more features than a pilot’s cockpit?

Josh frowned at me “are you really really cold?” I looked at him puzzled but shook my head no “Why??” I was really curious, just what was this boy planning now? He scrunched his nose and winked at me, before putting the car into gear and pulling off. We drove through the streets and eventually ended up at the park, the sky was shades of lilac and violet infused with pinks and then the vivid orange of the sun setting in the distance, the image was so beautiful. We sat in silence just watching as the sun set, we were both leaning towards each other closing the distance, the silence was comfortable and we were both just staring in awe at the remarkable sight. “breathtaking, right?” I asked, he grinned at me “Yes, yes you are.” I turned to meet his eyes but my eyes caught sight of the way he bit onto his bottom lip as he spoke. The flash of white from his perfect teeth showing slightly, I leaned in closer closing the distance between us, crashing my lips on to his, the kiss was urgent and passionate and within a minute we pulled apart gasping for breath, his lips lowered to my neck and my fingers knotted his hair. He pulled his face away from me, and I smiled, his hair was a mess, his cheeks were flushed and eyes looked hungry.

I laughed as I realised that sometime in our make out session the rain had broke and it was now raining heavily. The rain lashed onto the car and you couldn’t even see the floor because of the splashback from the rain, Josh grinned and quickly got out of the car, running around to my side. He opened my door for me and offered me his hand, I stared at him “are you crazy? It’s chucking it down?! What are you doing, get back in the car.” I screamed at him as the sound of the rain hitting the car made it really hard to hear him. He pouted at me, holding his hand out for me to take. Well if you see this pouty face, you’ll know why I gave in. I took his hand and got out of the car, now I was out I could see that he had left his head lights on. Josh pulled me gently so we were standing directly infront of the lights, and then stood closer to me, moving his hands so they were around my waist. I finally clicked on and put my arms around his neck, he took the lead which is great because I cant dance, and just like that we were dancing in the rain, I snuggled my head closer to him and I could hear him faintly singing the words to ‘Fearless’, the song I had been singing along to just hours ago. We stayed dancing in the rain, Josh occasionally sang lines from a few  songs but mostly we just danced in silence until we were shivering and numb from the cold night. That’s when we decided to get back in the car and head home, I couldn’t help it but I stared at him the entire journey home, eventually he turned around “What are you staring at darling?” I smiled and gave him a grin, just like he always does to me “You. Your perfect.” He flashed me his dazzling smile and we went inside.
