A/N this chapter is dedicated to the girl who gave me my first piece of feedback ever! Thankyou so much, it was amazing :D
Okay I know your probably wondering how I managed to have Josh Franceschi sat in front of me and not realise it was him but in my defence I'm in love with the one song, I haven't heard any of their other music and I certainly hadn't seen them in concert or anything. The Stay With Me video is never shown on TV, therefore I don't have a clue what the band actually look like. Well I know what Josh looks like now. 6ft1 of pure gorgeous!
"Well, I didn't see that one coming" I said, when I finally managed to gather my thoughts, the shock was very apparent in my voice which only caused Josh to grin further. He was leaning back in his chair, his hands crossed over his chest, obviously very satisfied with my reaction. He carried on staring at me, his blue eyes fixed intently on my face, he was finding this all too amusing.
"You had your headphones on SO loud this morning, I heard it- me- the song as soon as you got on the bus, I assumed that if you sat next to me you would recognise me and scream at me... as you know now I wasn't really in the best of moods this morning" he said rather sheepishly. His eyes darkened and his lips pulled down into a frown "im sorry, I was so rude... Just this shit with the band it's really getting me down, but I cant just use it as an excuse...Im so sorry" he was rambling now, his head down he looked so ashamed of himself as he was saying this, I have to admit it kinda ruined our blissful lunch and I felt really bad for him. I leant across the table, reached for his hand, he looked up at me with wide eyes and I said
"hey! I've already forgiven you, and you me for my rudeness, it happens to everyone from time to time. Okay, but it's in the past now so just forget about it. Lets enjoy our lunch" I said just as I saw a waiter appear with our food. Josh smiled at me, all cheeriness returned.... And that is how I spent my Thursday having lunch with Josh Franceschi.
We finished lunch (which he insisted on paying as his way of making it up to me), we walked around the city centre for a few hours, the weather turned and it started to get colder so we headed into Costa for a coffee (my treat) to warm ourselves up and headed back outside. The sky was very grey and a downpour looked imminent, so we agreed to make our way back home, josh decided it was his duty to ensure I got home safe and so we went to my house together. As we sat down on the bus together, I could feel the heat radiating off him and my whole body felt different. It felt as if there was electricity coursing through my veins rather than blood and the butterflies had still not gone.
Just as we got off the bus, down came the rain and along came the wind, I scrambled through my handbag looking for my umbrella when I finally got it I put it up and we huddled underneath it together.
Go Ally for having such a small umbrella I thought, our upper bodies were touching as I was half cuddling into his chest. My arm raised high holding the umbrella over the both of us, and that is when the electric sparks in my fingers went crazy as Josh's hands were prying my hands off the handle. I thought it was because he was taller he wanted to hold it but he decided to break our 'moment' and sprinted full speed up the road. "BET YOU CANT CATCH ME" he roared and with that I took off, running as fast I could, bear in my mind my eyes aren't the best anyway so with no contacts, no glasses and heavy rain you can imagine what happened next. SMACK! I ran full speed into Josh knocking us both to the ground.
My umbrella flew through the air and carried further by the wind, I looked down and realised I was lying face down on top of Josh in the middle of the street.
Oh what must the neighbours be thinking? I thought mischievously. I stood up and extended my hand to help him up too, the rain was dripping through both of our hair, Josh had a strand of his chocolate-y brown hair in his face, and without thinking I extended my hand, my fingers brushing his forehead lightly as I pushed the hair away from his face. Our eyes locked on each others, I was staring at those gorgeous blue eyes, I could see nothing else. After what seemed like an hour Josh broke our silence, he took my hand in his, it was cold and wet from the rain which was continuing to get heavier and said "Ally, will you go out for dinner with me tomorrow night please?"
"Yes" I replied simply, I smiled my widest smile knowing that I was far too breathless and speechless to express how happy I was and just like that we walked up the road back to my house with his arm around my waist the entire time. I invited him inside to dry off, giving him a bath towel and one of my brother's t shirts, they were roughly the same size and Joey wasn't coming home any time soon. Half an hour later the rain had stopped and Josh left.
