BTS other names: 방탄소년단, Bangtan Sonyeondan, Bangtan Boys, Bōdan Shōnendan (防弾少年団 -- Japanese Name, same meaning) Beyond The Scene, or in English translations, Bulletproof Boyscouts.

Originally a hip - hop group in 2010, composed of 7 original rappers until 2011, is now a worldwide known Korean-Pop (K-pop) IDOL group who can sing-rap-dance and produce their own songs with members RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook, that all hail from South Korea, debuted June 13, 2013. The lineup was made by the last member to be added was Jimin in May 2012.

BTS signifies as Bulletproof Boyscouts: to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim on adolescents like bullets (through music)

What does A.R.M.Y means? It means Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth, it carries quite some meaning behind it, given that "Army" is associated with the military, body armor, and how those two things are always together.
