It's late now,
Twilight missed us as we walked on,
For in this darkness did we dance upon,
Every step an advancement even deeper.
We were light,
Beings illuminated.
We danced our way up,
We reached the height,
Fearless will be the adjective correctly illustrated.
For we had trod on sacred grounds,
We were wind in space,
In us, vacuum had no place.
We ran wild as our essence,
You were her, and forever I longed to dwell in your presence...
We were so high,
Soaring reckless...
But then, in a moment ever so reckless,
My words meant nothing but broken promises,
Broken promises musing a million pieces,
Dazzling in a million pieces my heart had hit rock bottom,
And in my pieces did I seek refuge,
Once king, I sought comfort in my heart,
For in it I found an asylum.
