Chloe and Simon always got ready real early in the morning, so they'd have plenty of time. Chloe started to cook up breakfast, as Simon walked in the kitchen dressed for work.
"You know, I've been thinking," Chloe started, checking to see if Simon was listening.
"I think we should let Dolly go to that birthday party, don't you?"
"You changed your mind?" Simon asked, leaning against the counter next to her. Chloe gave him a short nod,
"If we keep restricting things she'll just become more rebellious and lie to us more. As long as she takes her mask with her and comes home not too late, I think it should be fine."
Simon nodded in agreement, he's such a perfect husband. Chloe smiled back at him while finishing up her cooking. Not much later, Dolly joined them at the table. Chloe watched her carefully as she ate. She can be fragile, she must be protected.
Chloe remembered so well when she was born, after all, who wouldn't? She was so small, and beautiful. Chloe could tell right away Dolly got Simon's wonderful golden eyes. Later on it was clear she got Chloe's natural brown locks and light freckles along her nose and cheeks.
Once she got done eating, Chloe drove her to school. Before going to work, Simon went to the basement. Of course Greg still laid there, but Simon went ahead and pried his eyes open. Why did Chloe think they are great? Oh well, if that's what she thinks then he'll sew them open tonight.
Dolly may think the reason for locking her door at night may be from keeping her from sneaking out, but really it was because of an incident that happened long ago.
Dolly was so young, only 4 and obedient as ever. Simon was working on a older male, while Chloe stopped early to clean up. Simon only let his guard down for a minute and the male attack, he managed to escape the basement. Just as little Dolly went to the kitchen for something to drink.
She had barely noticed the man run past her, as the stranger stopped and turn to her. Thankfully Simon reached them, taking the man down. It was quite easy to calm Dolly down enough to go to bed, she was just a child. They would never risk it happening again, so a lock went on her door.

Chloe arrived back from dropping Dolly off at school. Now it was time for her to go to work as the IT manager. While Simon went to his engineering job. Chloe fake smiled at her co workers, she and Simon knew how to blend in.
After work, they headed home, they wouldn't have to pick Dolly up today for at least an hour now. Simon stopped in the living room, the TV had been left on and the news was on.
"Clo, come here." He called out. Chloe turned into the living, then let out a sigh. The news story was about the body they apparently didn't hide well enough.
"As long as it doesn't happen again it'll be fine." Chloe whispered. Simon raised a brow slightly as he shut the TV off.
"I think we should have a date night soon." Simon suddenly brought up. Chloe looked up with a big smile.
"Yes! Oh we could do something this weekend?" She asked. Simon nodded as he took her hands, her gentle soft hands.
"I say, old fashioned dinner then watch a movie here?" Simon suggested. Chloe giggled as she leaned into him, smelling his cologne.
"You pick the movie though, I know you'll find something new that's good." Chloe told him. Simon reached up to gently tilt her chin up, giving her a small kiss.
"You know I think we have time to work on doll Greg." Simon smiled. Chloe nodded, she backed away to rush to the basement. Simon smiled as he followed his wife.
