Assisting the Billionaire Angel
Chapter OneThe biting rain stung as Cyra stumbled down the cobbled path, the pain etching throughout her aching body. Her own pale skin now adorned new bruises, not that this was anything new.
Leon constantly reminded her she owes him. That she will not be allowed freedom until the debt was paid. Yet, every time she had paid him, where was the thank you? Or just a nod if acknowledgement?
"Ah fuck!" Cyra cried out as a random figure slammed into her side, the wound opening up again. Hissing lowly, Cyra slumped against the brick wall, thinking. Thinking if only she didn't protect her mother that night, she wouldn't have to pay a useless debt. She would be free. Blaming it all on her useless mother, Thea. Why should she care about Thea when all her life she wasn't loved by the women. Thea was the one that got Cyra into this mess. Countless times of begging for help, Thea stood there and watched as Leon beat her throughout the night. Not once saying a word.
"Miss are you alright?" A tall man, dressed to enter a ball bent down beside her. "Shit. Boss!" Cyra squinted her eyes to clear away the blurriness and stood. Cringing in pain she stepped away, eyeing him before another man stepped out of the car.
"I'm fine." She lied, stumbling away. Just as she went to take another step, Cyra went falling towards the pavement. Sleep was calling her name.
Before she could hit the ground, strong arms wrapped themselves around her waist. "Gotcha," he whispered, holding Cyra. Blinking slowly, all she could make out was stormy blue eyes before she failed to stay awake.Cyra groaned into the fluffy pillow, wishing time would pause so she could sleep some more. However, the sun was up and she would be ready to climb some walls. Rolling over with a huff, she expected to see her dirty apartment walls and a messy single bed and bathroom. Instead she found a large bedroom the size of an apartment, a four poster bed and a goddamn chandelier hanging above her head. Quickly scanning the room, she screamed as she found a girl dusting some shelves in the corner of the room. What the hell was a girl dressed like a maid, cleaning while she was sleeping? Isn't that a bit creepy?
"Oh my god." Cyra bolted out of the large bed, staring at the girl. "Who the hell are you? Where am I?"
The maid-like girl smiled in response before handing Cyra a sealed envelope. Warily, she opened the envelope.Ms Edward,
It seems we need to discuss a few things. Meet me for breakfast, would you Kitten?T.L
"What the hell?" Cyra mutter, clenching the letter. Who was T.L and why did he bring Cyra here. That's when she noticed her bandaged hand and the numbed feeling against her wounds. He must of fixed her up too.
Shaking her head, Cyra let out a shaky sigh before meeting the maids gaze. "I don't have any appropriate clothing." The maid blinked before sending her a wide smile.
"Everything has already been provided."
"Right..." Cyra bit her lip as she followed the maid into another room. A room full of clothing from fancy ball gowns to comfy oversized shirts. The latter sounded better however, the billionaire might make fun of her. Not that she should care.
Deciding on a pair of washed out jeans and a oversized sweater, Cyra was all set. Well maybe.
"Master is waiting downstairs." Okay she was definitely ready. Ready to punch someone's face in. Then thank him.
Nodding, Cyra followed the maid down the many steps and into a dining room. The long wooden table in the centre of the room sat a handsome young man. Stormy blue eyes. Cyra wondered.
"Miss Edward, so glad you could join me." He motioned to a seat in front of him. Cyra watched him carefully before taking a seat.
"Who are you?"
"Straight to the point I see," he sends her a charming smirk before taking a sip of his coffee. "Patience Kitten. Enjoy the fabulous meal that's before you." Scoffing, Cyra pushed away the plate of food.
"No thank you not hungry. Who the hell are you?" Lies. She hadn't eaten since yesterday morning.
"Come now Kitten, shouldn't you have already figured that out by now? And I thought you were the one to hack into my secured accounts." Cyra pushed the chair back with a scowl.
"I don't have time for this." She went to leave but froze as he threw a file down in front of her.
"Cyra Rose Edwards. Daughter of Thea Edwards and stepdaughter of Leon Edwards. Aged 21. Thief and hacker," he grinned at her, his pearly whites on display. "What an interesting background. Seriously, who would ever think you would hack into my accounts so easily." The sudden shift in the air turned thick with tension. T.L. Tyrone Lowen. The billionaire she recently hacked.
"Oh shit."
Tyrone Lowen smirked wildly, a dangerous glint in his stormy blue eyes.
"Oh shit indeed, Kitten."What did you guys think???? Awesome? No? Yay? Lemme knowwwwwwww ohhh guess who met Lynette Noni!!!! Meeeeeee did. She also signed my book!!!
