Kaia

I stared at the wall over her shoulder, my heart pounding loudly in my chest. "W-What are you talking about?" Mate? Vampire Queen? My head hurts.

Braelynn pulls away, her eyes gleaming. "Your my beloved mate and you will soon be ruling beside me." I shook my head, pulling away.

"N-No. I-I'm human... I can't rule the vampire world... Your all monsters!"

The vampire girl talking to my father and Lilly grabbed Lilly and walked out of the kitchen. My eyes widened as they walked out. "Hey! Don't take my family away!" I ran after them but a hand softly clasped my wrist, another wrapping around my waist.

"She's giving us some privacy," Braelynn whispered in my ear sending sparks down my spine. I shivered at the contact. "Will you let me explain now?" She asked. I nod slowly. "Come, let's sit," Braelynn entwines our hands together and pulls me towards the table sat in the middle of the kitchen.

I went to sit down but she pulled me so I sat on her lap. Blushing, I squirmed. "C-Can I have my own seat?"

Braelynn chuckled lowly as her hands caressed my sides, her head dipped between the crook of my neck. "Hm? But you look so cute squirming and blushing. It's..." She kissed my neck softly. "Adorable." I yelped softly as she nipped the skin slightly.

Bad Kaia. Your not allowed to have feelings for a vampire. Bad Kaia. "Can you tell me now?" Tell me exactly why I'm here. Why a human like me will become queen. Like what!? I'm a human! I frown as my stomach began to rumble, my gums burning.

"Kaia Kitten? Are you okay?"

"I-" then there was screaming. Pain engulfing my whole body as if I was lit on fire. That's when I realised it was my screaming. "Make it stop!"

Braelynn

"Make it stop!" Kaia screamed in pain. The hunger. She hasn't had blood in 24 hours and so her body is slowly eating away. Shit!

"Riah!" In a flash Riah arrived. Her face filled with panic.

"What's going on?!" I picked up my screaming baby, cradling her to my chest.

"I need blood. Now. She needs to feed!" Riah nodded and I ran to the couch, putting Kaia down softly.

"It's okay baby. It's okay. Your gonna be okay," I don't know who I was trying to reassure, myself or Kaia.

"Braelynn," Kaia whimpered, curling into a ball.

"Shh it's okay Kitten. Your okay," I caress her hair, kissing her forehead. Riah arrived and handed me one of the many bags of blood. "Kaia sweetie, open up. Drink this," She didn't respond nor open her mouth. Hissing softly I open her mouth as Kaia groaned in protest. I slowly tipped the bag into her mouth and watched as Kaia drunk the blood.

Her skin was less pale now and she stopped sweating. I sigh in relief. She's okay now. "Your okay now Kaia," She turned her head slowly, her eyes filled with exhaustion.

"I'm a monster..." Tears dripped before her eyes closed, her breathing softened as she fell into a deep slumber.

Kaia... I'm so sorry...
