*So, I spent part of my time at a mental hospital in Nashville. It was a difficult place to be considering the fact that all of us were in pain. Not exactly physical pain, but pain of thought. New people came in every day or two. It was upsetting but I'm out and I'm still healing.*
The Hospital Stay
The smell of hospital,
The sting of blood tests,
The guilt of self harm,
The noise of close cries,
The urge to hide under the table,
The fear of darkness,
The distrust of nurses,
The bright lights,
The schizophrenic girl who likes to play Jenga,
The suicidal girl obsessed with Twenty One Pilots,
The depressed boy who laughs through his pain,
The anorexic girl who warns about nurses,
The addicted girl who plays the guitar,
I'm the anxious girl who hid in the corner,
Who cried silently because family never came to visit,
The mental hospital is the place of familiar pain.
