THE cries of a newborn was sounded through the cemetery as the witches started to prepare for the sacrifice. Unknown to them all the cries had awoken something much more powerful. A woman who everyone thought was lost and now believed to be a myth rose from the coffin she was concealed in inside one of the tombs.
As soon as daylight hit her and she heard the cries more clearly she followed the direction in which they came from as if she was compelled to do so.
She reached an opening where a girl held a dagger above a baby as a woman cried out. Two men tried to get to her but the girl raised her arm sending a ring of fire in front of her so no one could cross it.
Seraphina then knew what she needed to do. As the others struggled to find a way through the fire they didn't realise that Seraphina had already crossed it. The girl who still had possession of the dagger looked terrified as she looked up at the woman who had smoke clouding off of her, she had heard the stories but she never believed them to be possible until that day. Seraphina took one look at the baby who peered back up at them before grabbing the dagger from the witch and piercing it into her heart stopping the spell that she had cast. Her final words whispered out into the wind.
"The Mother of Dragons..." Monique whimpered out as she collapsed against the stone table looking up into Seraphina's eyes before the Woman turned her attention back to the baby she felt a connection to. She carefully picked the baby up before looking out at the three figures who had been trying to save the baby, she didn't know who they were but she could guess they were her family.
They looked up at Seraphina confused to as who she was and why she was here. Not knowing whether she was helping them or trying to get to the baby. But before they could question her a man sped over to the woman who now had the baby wrapped up in her arms and took her away.

When Seraphina reached the compound she didn't know what to think. The way the man had carried her from the cemetery to where ever she was now seemed impossible...yet it happened. She still didn't know where she was or what she was doing here. The last thing she remembered was hearing words spoken by a witch before she had blacked out and woken up to the sounds of crying. Everything around her seemed unfamiliar and beyond her time, to the clothes they wore and the way they spoke but Seraphina didn't want to believe it she couldn't of just slept through thousands of years...could she? What about her home, her people...her Dragons?
Her knees began to buckle underneath her as it all began to be too much for her brain to process. She could hear the man who had brought her here try and talk to her but her mind blanked him out. She remembers him taking the baby from her gently and another man entering the building looking between the two before she blacked out.
