John pats Ringos back. "Come on, bud. There are some things you need to meet." John looks up at Paul. "This is Paul McCartney, the guy you shook hands with. He is the lead vocal of the band and bass guitarist."
Paul looks at Ringo. "Nice meeting you." Ringo says to Paul.
"Nice meeting you as well." Paul says to Ringo.
John walks Ringo to me. "And this is George Harrison. He is a guitarist too."
"Nice meeting you, George." Ringo sticks his hand out.
He was quite smaller than me, so I looked down a little. His big blue eyes glowing at me. "Nice meeting you, too." I took his hand. It was quite soft. He probably moisturizes it a lot.
He gave a small smile for a split second before John took him away.
"And of course, you already know who I am." John smiled to Ringo.
"John Lennon, correct?" Ringo asked, just to be sure.
"That is correct." John smiled. "Brian isn't here right now, but I think he will be here next week. He's the one who decided to hire you."
"Ah... that's okay, I guess" Ringo replied.
"But anyways, there is one last thing you need to meet." John lead him to a drumset with "THE BEATLES" written on the kick drum. "This will be your new drum! Are you excited to use it?" John looks to Ringo, then at the drum with a big smile.
"Of course!" Ringo replied to John. "May I try it out?"
"It's your drum now, you can do whatever you want with it." John said to Ringo.
Ringo climbed into the chair and sat in it. He took the drumsticks and dusted them off. Paul and I walked closer to see him try the drum out.
He played a few beats on it. It seemed pretty good. He put down the drumsticks.
"I think I'll fit right in." Ringo said cheerily.
"Good!" Paul jumped up and escorted Ringo out from his seat. "We are currently working on a song that I think you would do great on. It's called 'Love me do'. Would you like for us to play a little bit?" Paul excitedly said. He was very eager to show him.
"Ah, sure! That would be great!" Ringo sat down next to the recording studio.
We all took out our guitars, and John took out his harmonica. Paul turned on the microphone and tapped it just to be sure it was working. I had gotten the notes memorized after practicing this song for years and re-recording it 2 times with different drummers. After hiring Ringo, soon it will be the 3rd time recording it.
Paul counted "1, 2, 3, 4!" and John came in with his harmonica. We came in with our guitars at about the same time. Usually, the drummer would come in, but we had not yet given Ringo the sheet music. John and Paul started singing "Love, love me do! You know I love you! I'll always be true! So please, love me do." After Paul finished saying "oh, love me do" and John put down his harmonica, we ended the recording and put down our instruments. I looked at Ringo. He looked very impressed. We left the recording area and sat next to Ringo. Paul was still humming the tune of 'Love Me Do'.
"So... what did you think?" John asked Ringo.
"It was amazing! You are all such good singers." Ringo looked at us with wide eyes and a grin. We all high-fived each other. I stared at Ringo, but he didn't notice. He was looking towards the drumset, probably figuring out ideas for the song.
"We will try recording this song professionally in a few months, and hopefully releasing it." Paul said. Ringo looked back towards Paul. "We will have a meeting next week to collect ideas for the drums."
"Got it. I will be here next week... what time?" Ringo asked.
"Anytime would be fine. Preferably before 2PM?" Paul was thinking. "I'll call you when it's time. George, mind walking Ringo home? Lennon and I are busy coming up with ideas."
"Sure!" I said nervously and excitedly. I had a small crush on Ringo already, so I was really happy to take him home. "Let's go... I guess."
Ringo stood up. "Bye guys." He waved and followed me out the door.
