You were sleeping peacefully when a huge boom rang out. You jumped awake as you looked around to see what it was. But it was only thunder.

'Great now I have to deal with thunder', as you were a light sleeper and could barely sleep through thunder storms. The only thing that could let you sleep was Oswald. He keeps you calm enough to actually sleep but he wasn't here since he was at work.

You look at the clock as it reads 2 am. You sigh and hope Oswald comes home soon. Thunder roars again; then you hear footsteps. You start to panic as you never heard the door unlock or open, it must have happened during the thunder. You scramble out of bed to get a weapon, the closest thing next to you was a lamp and then you hold it tightly in your hands.

The footsteps get louder until they stop at the front of your door. You raise the lamp as the intruder opens the door. Right before you swing you hear someone say.

"(Y/N)! NO ITS ME OSWALD!!" He yelps as he sees the lamp raised to swing in your hands.

"Oh my gosh! Oswald! I'm so sorry! I didn't know you were coming home now! I didn't hear the door open so I just assumed you were a burglar." You apologized.

"It's alright my dear I would've defended myself as well." He replies. He then realizes why you're awake.

"The thunder woke you up?" He questions already knowing the answer.

"Yeah" you reply as you yawn.

"Alright to bed with you."

You start walking to the bed until another a flash of lightning illuminates the sky and a crack of thunder goes off. You jump in response. Oswald then puts you to bed and walks to the bathroom. You close your eyes as you cuddle into the warm blanket. He comes back a few minutes later and you feel the bed dip.

You cuddle into Oswald's chest. He puts his arms around you and you sigh and you feel the anxiousness fade away.

"I'm glad you're home Ozzy" you say smiling.

"I am too, even though you almost knocked me out with a lamp." He snickers.

"It was an accident" you whine in response.

"I know my dear" he smiles.

"Goodnight Oswald." You yawn happily.

"Goodnight (Y/N)." He says as his eyes close and you both drift off into a peaceful sleep.
