His Song

Notes: (based off of The Harold Song by Kesha) Dan Howell is a famous singer from the band Lions Club and he is about to sing a song about his former boyfriend Phil, who just happens to be in the crowd. (Like I always do, I recommend that you listen to this song before or while reading ^-^)

"How're you doing tonight London?" Dan pushed his brown fringe out of his eyes and smiles, pointing the microphone to the crowd.
Many screams were heard from fans and Dan smiled wider.
"Okay awesome! We're gonna slow things down a little and get serious about this next song," Dan sat down on a stool that was brought to the front of the stage and placed the microphone on the stand.
"This is a new song, and it's about this boy that I once dated. We... Were inseparable. And one day...I don't know. Everything is just a blur, but I'm not here to tell you a sad story! I'm here to sing!" Dan sighed and turned to Jake, and the song started up.
"Without further ado, here is His Song!"
"I miss your soft lips, I miss your white sheets, I miss the scratch of your un-shaved face on my cheek,
And this is so hard. Cause I didn't see, that you were the love of my life. And it kills me.
I see your face in strangers on the street, I still say your name when I'm talking in my sleep."
Phil stopped and stared at Dan, his eyes closed and his mouth twitching slightly. He already wanted to cry. Phil could feel his eyes about to give away. He knew it was a bad idea to see Dan. He knew this would only make him want to die; not that he wasn't already inside.
"And in the lime light, I play it off fine. But I can't handle it when I turn off my night light,"
"But I can't handle it when I turn off my night light.
They say that true love hurts well this could almost kill me, young love murdered that is what this must be!
I would give it all to not be sleeping alone, alone.
The life is fading from me while you watch my heart bleed, young love murdered that is what this must be!
I would give it all to not be sleeping alone, alone." Dan told himself he wouldn't cry, but he could already feel the tears welling up in his eyes, so he squeezed the chocolate browns shut as hard as he could. He wanted to hug Phil, hold him, or at least see him.
Phil was already a crying mess. Wiping his tears and snot on his sleeve, his raven hair shiny with sweat plastered to his forehead.
"Remember the time, we jumped the fence when, the Stones were playing and we were to broke to get in," Dan was now crying, warm salty tears escaping his eyes and pouring into his mouth as he sung.
"You held my hand and, you made me c-cry while, I swear to god it was the best night of m-my life," Dan was choking over his words now and he didn't know if he could keep singing. Of course he wanted to, but the memories were like being stabbed in the heart a thousand times a second, and he didn't know how to stop them. He couldn't just grab the memories and stomp them out like a cigarette on the ground, he had to feel them. They. Wouldn't. Stop.
"Or when you took me, across the world we, promised that this would last forever but now I see:
It was my past life, a beautiful time. Drunk off of nothing but each other till the sunrise..." Dan looked away from the crowd, not wanting them to hear his sobs through the microphone.
"S-sorry," He mumbled and continued with the song, trying to collect himself.
Phil pushed his way to the stage, yelling at the security guard telling them he had to talk to Dan, and that the song was about him. But they just rolled their eyes as they heard this just about at every concert. Phil screamed in agony and looked up at Dan, and almost as if time stopped, their eyes locked. Dan continued to sing, but all of his attention was on the 27 year old staring back at him.
Phil sobbed louder and now the security guards began to look a bit worried, as Phil had a determined look now plastered on his face. He jumped past the men, and threw himself onto the stage, scrambling to get as far as he could onto the stage before the guards would catch him.
"Ph-Phil," Dan gasped as if someone just hit him in the back and took all the life out of him. He was too shocked to get up from the chair, so he just stared.
The guards grabbed Phil and tried to pull him away, but Dan yelled at them and they dropped the sweaty boy, grumbling.
"Dan? You remember me?" Phil ran over to Dan and hugged him, the impact almost throwing Dan off the chair.
"How could I not?"
The crowd aw-ed and some made ews, so Dan quickly ushered Phil backstage.
"Why did you come?" Dan asked throwing off his leather jacket to the side of his dressing room.
"I just wanted to see how far you've come since-well you know..." Phil looked down and played with the hem of his shirt, not able to look directly in Dans eyes.
"Oh,"
Dan sighed and walked over to his bag that laid at the corner of the room, grabbing two pieces of paper. He had been saving them for someone special, but he hadn't moved on from Phil, so he figured he could just give one to him.
Phil looked up and dropped his shirt when Dan outstretched his hand, a concert ticket between his fingers.
"W-what's that?" Phil didn't take it, he only looked into Dans eyes, searching for dismissal.
"A ticket to Muse," Dan smiled reassuringly, pushing the piece of paper into Phil's jean pocket before he could object.
"No no, Dan no. I can't take this!" Phil reached into his pocket but Dan slapped his hand away.
"Yes, you can. Because you're going with me next week," Dan held up a matching ticket.
"Oh okay. Thank you," Phil blushed, his eyes retreating to the floor once again.
"God, look at me! I want to see the oceans that I missed oh so much! We only have," Dan checked the clock on the wall, "5 minutes before the next song."
Phil looked back up and Dan grabbed his neck, pulling Phil close.
"Kiss me," Dan breathed.
Phil said nothing, but leaned in and placed his lips onto Dans.
Their lips moved in perfect sync, as the time ticked away. They were too busy to notice the manager opening the door to warn Dan.
"Erm," She coughed awkwardly.
"Oh," Dan pulled away, blushing slightly, "Show time?"
The lady nodded and shut the door before poking her head back in "You two, are very cute together. However, I suggest that you should get your butt out there before your fans become anxious." She smiled and shut the door quietly.
Phil giggled as Dan pecked his cheek.
"Okay love, meet me here after the concert. Just look for Sarah, the lady who just came in, and tell her that you need to go to my dressing room. Don't need you to get lost," Dan tapped Phil's nose gently, quickly checked his hair, and opened the door, holding it open for Phil.
