Chapter 5

      "A PART.. of me ???, What the HELL is that suppose to mean?!..." I ask shocked And confused.. my professors look at each other once more, then Dr.Odion approaches me ripping my shirt open.. They look down to my skin where he stares with wide eyes and grinding teeth, Dr.Iris puts a hand over her mouth then her eyes.. I am afraid to look down put I Must Know....
   I open my mouth in shock as overweighting fear and panic take over me.. The puzzle is truly Part of me now.. it really is.. its Imbedded into my chest where my heart lies.. blue visible Veins connect to it covering the sides with parts of my skin keeping it intact in place holding it for dear life.. my life does depend on it.. it has invaded my heart and taken over the vulnerable muscle's place .. just now I feel my heart so close to it.. No..wait.. my heart Is INSIDE of it.. It's making a bumping movement monotonous with my heart, my chest rises up and down with it inside of me... I have seen it hollow before.. There is not enough space in it to hold my heart, How did this happen?!.. 
In my panic I hold it between the tips of my five fingers and start pulling it out.. that's when a huge shock of pain hits my chest making me kneel in pain, my professors run to me trying to stop me.. "YUGI STOP, We Need to be more Cautious about this.." Dr.Odion holds both of my wrists.
  A man enters the room in hurry as if he is hiding something, He is short which makes him look slightly fat for his hight, His mustache hides his upper lip and his round glasses are not positioned exactly in-front of his eyes, but a little bit under, "This is doctors Roan, One of the university medics, he is a good friend of mine.. I told him everything and will help us run some tests, Then We can decide How to act", Dr.Odion puts a hand on my shoulder and squeeze while introducing the Doctor to me after stopping my reckless act, "We will start with an MRI, just to know What we are dealing with here" the Doctor says professionally while nodding in multiple directions in reassurance. "Yugi, we need to call your family", "NO, absolutely NOT, Mom's default mode will be mindless panic and the blame will be on grandpa.. I need to handle this on my own..", I protest fast refusing the thought, "You are not Alone, I won't let you out of my sight, not for one second" she smile faintly to me.. I make eye contact with each of them separately from my sitting position on the hospital bed and nod in agreement then glance at My acing chest one last time..

      -In the MRI room
  I get dressed in hurry after my examination to look at the scans with the Doctors.. "I..I've never seen anything like this.. It.. It placed his heart inside of it, This device.. Artifact you called it.." he looks for a second in disbelief at my still visible chest as I continue dressing, "His Immune System did not Reject it because of the familiar cells from his blood and skin.. but it is the reason behind his faints.. His heart is also trying to get used to the new smaller environment, and that explains the irregular heart beats the monitors earlier showed" He is silent once more but eyes fixated on the scans, then continue before any one asks, "I will need to put him under surgery, but it will be a long, complicated one, to remove the heart from the body then replace it in it's original position, the risks are high, its almost 40% success rate!".. "Will it work?!".. "No Odion its too dangerous".. "I'll do it" every one falls silent and stares at me for a couple of minutes... "When will it be scheduled?" I speak once more no one answering, just 3 pairs of eyes staring at me.. "Right now" the doctor says "I will get the operation room ready, I Must inform you, this will an illegal undergoing surgery.. do keep everything you see and hear here confidential, or all of us will be in great danger, especially the one with a stolen university property in his chest", He leaves the room quietly letting us take in the information.

"Yugi, courage and hastiness are not rational now, We have to think this through" Dr.Iris says with sincere wide eyes trying to make sense out of this mess. "What did he mean by a stolen property of the university??" I get no response from the two professors in front of me, they avoid making eye contact with me,Dr.Iris more.. "ANSWER ME" I yell yanked down on the floor holding the puzzle.. Dr.Iris kneels down to my side as she is forced to answer me "Your father did discover it, but he was working for the university, they did not let him keep it or work on it, so he took it"..tenseness covers the room almost hearing everyone's breath, "So that is the extent of his Curiosity?!" I say whispering in disappointment "How did the university figure out it was him?!".. "They didn't, There was a theft the time he was on his last excavation, they thought the puzzle was included in the missing few items, you shouldn't have known, at least not this way... "I care for you Yugi, Just like I cared for Adam" Sadness takes over her and her eyes tear up, but she is strong enough to hold them back, I cant help but think she had feelings for my father... I look up to her with a blank expression on my face "Did Dad arrange this theft while he was away?" She looks away to hide her eyes but I don't wait.. "You Must tell me, please.. I need to know the truth..".. "Y..Yes Yugi, I am sorry" she says calmly getting up to stand leaning against the way not looking at me once.
    We stay in the room for a few extra minutes that feel like ages, all eyes fixed on the ground as tenseness still roams the room, The Doctor returns and open a small crack enough for half of his small body, We lift our eyes up to him as he nods in my direction, I get up and nod back and follow him as he holds the door for me, "Be safe" Dr.Odion farewells me as I walk past him.. Dr.Iris follows me holding both my shoulders from behind, I look at her "I said I won't let you out my sight, Didn't I?" She smiles reminding me of her promise before I could say anything, "Thank you", "Don't thank me yet" worry visible in her eyes.. as we enter the operating room.
