〖reader pov〗

It's been the 2 week Travis has been picking on me. It's nonstop. I don't know what I did wrong.

"Ey fuck face. You look even uglier than yesterday," He smirked. I didn't respond, I continued to grab my things out of my locker. "Hey!! (L/n)! I'm talking to you! How dare you ignore me!!" He grabbed my wrist, pulling me towards him. "Travis..! L - Let me go..! Please...." I tried to yank him off, but he was stronger than I was.

He flicked my forehead, "You're so weak you can't even push me away, pathetic little shithead." He shoved me to the floor.

"Travis!! What the hell do you think you're doing!!" He and I looked towards Johnson. He was in only one of my classes though. He was pretty laid back and a "chill" type of person. He was nice nonetheless.

"Buzz of bastard. Go back to your group of homos," He spat at the long haired boy. "And let you bully (Y/n) again? Not a chance prick. You've been tormenting her for weeks, give it a rest!!" He looked so angry. Why would he even care? This wasn't the first time Johnson stood up for me.

The two boys were back and forth cursing at each other until Sally came over and took me away while another girl took care of calming Johnson down.

"He's still bullying you, (Y/n)? This is like...two or three weeks now," Sal sounded worried. I can never read his expression, since his mask covers his complexion. His tone of voice is all I can read. I nodded, "I....don't know what I did wrong either.."

The girl came back with Johnson, who looked really mad. He had a bruise on his cheek. Travis probably hit him. Jerk. "Larry, Ash, what happened. Where'd Travis go?" Sal asked, still patting my back. "He got sent to the office after he punched me. Little fucker had the nerve..." He looked down at me, "You alright dudette? I'm sorry I came late. Now you've got a nasty brush burn on your knee."

There he goes, worrying again. I don't understand how he could care for someone as irrelevant as myself. "I'm fine. I'm sorry for troubling you about this. You've got a bruise on your cheek because of me.. I'm really sorry. You don't have to keep backing me up like this.."

He looked almost surprised at my words, "Why wouldn't I do it? You're too sweet to push, punch, or even curse at people. Shit, you won't even hurt Travis, and he's an absolute dick! I just want to protect you, in any way shape or form..." His face got all red.

"Thanks..it's nice of you. I really must get going...thank you again guys, see you all tomorrow," I grabbed my stuff and left without a word.

〖larry pov〗

I can't help but protect her. I may only see her once a day for 40 minutes, but I can't help myself. She's fragile and...precious. I'm feeling myself grow to love her everyday.

I saw Ash smirking at me and Sal's mask moved, so he probably is smirking too. "What?" I blinked. Sal punched my arm, "You know what dude. 'I just wanna protect you' you so like her." I felt my face heat up, "M..Maybe," I cleared my throat, "got a problem with that Sally Face?" Ash groaned, "Cut the crap Larry, grow a pair and tell her!!"

"Okay okay!! Geez.." I ran to the front doors, hoping I could catch up with her. Luckily I saw her (h/c) hair turn a corner, "(Y/n)!!" She turned around. "Larry..? What's up?" I caught my breath, "I...I really need to tell you something. I've been meaning to tell you for a while now, I was so stupid to not tell you anytime sooner....but...I really like you. The way I would see Travis pick on you...I knew I had to keep you safe. I love you..." She smiles, kissing my cheek.

"I'm glad you told me, I love you too.. I'll see you tomorrow okay?" "Alright.." She waved and continued her way home.

I went back to Sal and Ash. "So?" I beamed, giving them a thumbs up. "Fuckin nice dude."
