YOU WERE FOLLOWING MAISIE through hidden passages when, through a small window, you caught sight of the auctioning of the dinosaurs. They were describing a creature you had never heard of before and your group paused to watch.

The cage peeled away from the steam,  showing a massive, Velociraptor-like beast. Its scales were as black as pitch with a gold stripe from its eyes to its tail, similar to Blue. It had long, useable forearms and a long tail, with a T-rex-shaped head and large, slitted, red eyes. Spines that reminded you of the Indominus decorated its back.

It paced in its cage, hissing and growling and clawing. It was no dinosaur.

"What is that thing?" Claire asked from beside you.

"They made it," said Maisie, "Mr. Mills and the other man."

"What man?" Claire prompted.

"Him," Maisie pointed toward a man you knew too well. Doctor Henry Wu. Anger bubbled inside your veins.

The speaker went to explaining the assets of the "Indoraptor," as the screen called it. Explaining its hyper smell, intelligence, and that they had somehow trained it by laser.

To prove it, a man with a gun turned on his laser, and, as it dragged over several people, the Indoraptor followed it closely. When he pressed a button, the abomination went wild, trying to kill the man it had landed on viciously.

Instantly, people began bidding on the "prototype." The man at the stand gave in without much reluctance as the prices raised dramatically.

"That thing can't leave this building," Owen breathed.

You glanced toward him, a lump forming in your throat. Would this be anything like what had happened on that wretched island with the other beast? And, what was worse, was the fact that this one could be in the building with you.

Owen turned and strode briskly down the hall, you immediately jogging to catch up with a look casted over your shoulder toward the girls.

"What are we doing?" you asked.

"I'm going down there, you're staying with Claire," he said with an serious glare, of which you returned cockily.

"I'm going with you. There's no way I'm letting you go down there by yourself. What if they release it and it comes after you? We all know you need your awesome little sister to protect you."

Owen turned on his heel, facing you. His blue eyes held a weighty emotion you couldn't decipher. His jaw was clenched and his hands landed on your shoulders.

"I thought I'd lost you so many times, I'm not doing it again. Please, go back. If that thing does get loose, Claire and Maisie will need you," his voice sounded rather pleading, however you took his hands and pressed your forehead to his.

"Without Claire, we wouldn't be here. She's the one who took action and released the T-rex. She's also the one who saved you from prehistoric birds. She's badass.

" And you won't lose me. I'm too stubborn to die," you flashed an arrogant grin, one that made Owen both roll his eyes and scoff in amusement.

"You are very stubborn. At least stick close and be careful," he instructed, giving into your annoyingly strong determination.

You nodded, saluting, "Aye-aye, captain!"

After that, the both of you continued down the hall and around a corner where Owen spotted an elevator. "Are you any good at wiring?"

"Why are you asking me? Aren't you the expert?" You questioned with a quirked brow.

Owen shrugged, peeling off the panel, "Just curious. You seem to be full of talents I didn't know of."
