[Iros's POV]

I couldn't help but crack a small hint of a smile at the corner of my lips. I watched Dulst's eyes shimmer while she showed off her baby yet adolecent Giraffe-animal-thing to what was left of the guild.  Our teams last mission took us both to a recluse oasis off near the middle of the desert, the reward was two creatures from the towns pasture of exotic monsters.

The one she picked was called a Zyrafa. The little guy, who she called Howl, was probably no bigger than three feet tall. and that was including his one foot neck. The Zyrafa also had the bluest bowling balls for eyes nearly covering his ivory horns at the top of its yellow head. Of course, every "Exotic" creatures have their own quirks, this one had phantom wings floating right below the base of his neck. He can't fly while he carrying things but he can float about 30 feet off the ground and he is the fastest little bugger you have ever seen in the air.

My smile fell and I placed my elbow on the window ledge in the corner of the shack. My cheek fell into my open palm while I watched the May winds toss the grassy hills around.

"Mreow!" A small mew forced me to look at the table beside my seat. I gave the small tan furred creature a blank stare while his tail flicked in a greeting. A cat the size my a coke bottle stood patiently, blinking his snow white eyes. His golden fur was dotted with brown polka dots across his main body. Dulst says this cat is like her Giraffe, but it really isn't.

"You had to meow to catch my attention?" I asked my creature dryly. The sunny feline broke into a smirk as he shook his fur out. After that he lazily leapt into my lap with a thump, padding to where the sun was showing down on my thighs.

He patted around in one spot before spinning in countless circles, It was the only way I could catch you attention. Your mind was blocked off so I couldn't send you my telepathic messages... His adolescent voice squeaked in my mind. Yes, my mini beast's quirk was that it was a telepath.

With my open hand I casually ruffled the Kissa between his cupped ears, "Sorry bud. Just thinking."

I know your "Just-Thinking". The Kissa, Who I named Rush, huffed. Whenever you're "Just-Thinking" you block off your mind from everything. It's annoying. I can't tell when there's something wrong with master. Master never shows how she's feeling. It makes me feel like Ima bad companion.

My hand moved down his neck slowly and twisted under his chin, scratching it gently."Maybe one day you will learn... But... That may not be a good thing..." I sighed.

Finally Rush decided to pop a spot, pulling away from my hand to bury his tired head into his tiny little paws. When's showing others how you feel a bad thing...? I'm tired... Ima go to sleep on your lap Master... In a second, the small feline was quiet, breathing lightly with the rise and fall of his flank. He was asleep, deffinitely.

My hand brushed over his entire body smoothly, "I won't let anything hurt you... I'll protect you from everything, even from myself." I voiced to myself, even though it was directed to Rush. But right as I uttered these words, the guild doors flew open.

"Well, well. Looks like there are even less people in here than usual." Broccoli head from twilight ogre said. His name was Dreedo and he continued speaking in his annoying gravel voice, "This isn't a guild so much as a, what? A club?" The rest of his posy snickered at his poorly thought out mockery of our guild.

Macao stepped up quickly with panic scrawled across his face, "Dreedo! We agreed I would pay you next month!"

Dreedo's repulsive grin grew wider, "My master doesn't agree with those terms" like crows, the other members of twilight ogre began chirping laughter as their head leader continued, "He said, payments have to be paid when their due. Nothing I can do about it." he announced in a false sympathetic tone, making me want to vomit all over him.
