Iros' POV
"H-Hey... Strawberry!" My voice cracked as I watched the girl rush off, her long skirt swaying back and forth at her ankles as the soft winds rushed into her. I simply swore and pursued my team partner into following what ever it was that had caught her eye. The western styled town was vacant with every turn of the wooden saloon we passed, only few times I would see a pair of eyes poking out from a window. All doors were boarded off or wrapped in chains with locks every inch.
Once I finally arrived to where she was, we both stood in a dark alley. The wooden buildings on each side had rot eating away at their sidings while Dulst waited with her back turned from me. "Geez, Dulst! Next time, tell me where you're going..." I panted, not really made for running that often.
"Sorry..." She muttered under her breath, "Town's just not empty." After those words slipped into the air I heard a high giggling. It of course wasn't Dulst's, hers was more annoying than cute. So curiously I peered past my partner to see a young girl positioning her head close to her shoulder.
The child had bone-straight hair of an ebony shade as it cascaded down to her knees. Her aurelion yellow eyes glowed in the little light that dripped into the back street, most curious part was that they were very feline-like. Her clothes was really just a leather dress that wore away from time. Here and there were glinting jewels, each positioned crookedly in awkward spaces. But probably the most odd part of the fair skinned girl was the mask that was sitting on the bridge of her nose.
It was covered in silver and gold sequences, from the left corner of the mask were three fake leaves painted a dark gold. Feathers spurred from the leaves of all colors, yet they all seemed real. They were long and painted out, seeming very heavy and pulled the mask down. She grinned, her pale lips drawing tenderly, her string of pearls for teeth were angled oddly in some directions. Like all her teeth didn't fit. Her grin fading to a close mouthed smile, a sharpened fang sat over her lower lip.
"Hello...." I said very absently, "Do you live in this town?" I inquired.
Her cheeks flushed a rosy red, "Hi! I'm Mammon and no." Quickly she raked her long fingernails though her hair, trailing down until she simply twirled the locks around. "I'm just passing though."
"Oh.We were looking for some natives for some information..." Dulst sighed with a great depressed tone. She hastily jumped to a joy and smiled. "Well, are you lost? Where are your parents, hun?"
"I don't have no parents." She spoke, sucking in a cheek cutely.
"AW! OH MY POOR BABY!" The strawberry gushed, wrapping both of her python arms around Mammon. "Don't feel bad! I was an orphan too until I found Fairy Tail--" Still holding the girl in her clutches, Dulst turned to me with the biggest, most pleading gaze.
I took a sharp inhale, "I am not going to like this, am I?"
Dulst pulled Mammon closer to her boobs, poor ravenette looking suffocated. "Can we keep her?! Please!! Bring her to Fairy Tail?! Have her join!? PLEAAASSE!"
"Y-You want me?" The child choked out.
My eye twitched slightly, "Sh-she's not a stray animal. It's her choice if she would like to come with us..."
"Yes!" Mammon cheered, leaping from Dulst's death hug. She skipped around us subtly, " I wanna join you people! What's Fairy Tail, anyways?"
The silent town grew even quieter. A calm before the storm as you might say. "YOU DON'T KNOW FAIRY TAIL!?" My partner exploded, her Giraffe thing recoiling while Rush leapt onto my shoulders. The small creature hissing at Dulst with hackles raised.
