Ashley stepped aside to let Spencer in and they went up to her room.
"So... what do you want?" Ashely asked as she took a seat on her bed and Spencer sat in a chair across from her.
"I just... I need to talk to you about what happened earlier at school today." Spencer said, feeling very nervous all of a sudden. She knew that this wouldn't be easy but she decided she wasn't leaving until Ashley heard her out.
Ashley took a deep breath as she stared at Spencer. She knew exactly what Spencer was going to say. She had some things to say of her own first. "Spencer look, I love you...you know that. And I want to be with you, but--"
"Then whats the problem?" Spencer asked, cutting her off.
"That is the problem, don't you see?" Ashley replied.
"That doesn't make sense, Ashely."
"Today wasn't even really about the fact that someone wrote that on my locker." Ashley said shrugging. "It's--"
"Is this about Deb?" Spencer asked, cutting Ashley off once again.
"That yeah." Ashley nodded. "And the fact that I... we would have to deal with people calling us that for the rest of our lives. Being talked about behind our backs, and our family and friends turning on us. Would you really be able to deal with that if it happened?"
"Speaking of that..." Spencer cleared her throat nervously. She wasn't sure how Ashley would react when she found out that it was actually her brother that caused that scene at school. "I need to tell you something about what was written on your locker."
"What?" Ashley asked confused.
"Well when I was leaving my house, I kinda pried out of Glen that he was the one that wrote that stuff on your locker." Spencer said and waited for Ashley's reaction.
"What!" Ashley asked, standing up from the bed. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. How could Spencer's own brother do something like that to her?
"I'm sorry Ashley, I didn't even know that he knew about us. I swear Ashley I--"
"I think you should go." Ashley cut Spencer off this time. She was angry, not necessarily at Spencer, but angry nonetheless.
"Ashley don't do this, I didn't-"
"Just go Spencer. I can't deal with this right now." Ashley replied softly.
"Ashley, please!" Spencer tried.
"What do you want from me Spencer?"
"Nothing!" Spencer shouted, becoming frustrated. "I just want you. Don't you get it. I want to be with you Ashley. I know that now. I messed up, I know, but I wanna fix this. I want to go back to the way we were."
"Well that can't happen, so you need to go." Ashley replied softly. She loved Spencer but she knew that their lives would never be easy, especially if Spencer's own brother couldn't accept their love. Spencer stood up and started walking towards the door.
She stopped in the doorway and turned back to Ashley. "Just because you are shutting me out of your life, doesn't mean the feelings that you have for me will go away."
Spencer got in the car and drove but in the opposite direction of her house. She was going to the beach, the place where her and Ashley went on the first night they hung out together.
At Spencer's
Kyla knocked on the door and Clay answered.
"Hey Kyla, Spencer isn't here." He said with a smile, opening the door wider for her to come in.
"I know she's at my house. I actually came to see Deb." Kyla smiled back as she stepped inside.
"Sure you are." Clay nodded and smiled, pointing to Spencer's room where Deb had layed down.
"Thanks." Kyla nodded and walked up to Spencer's room. Deb was laying on the bed asleep.
"Deb..." Kyla tried to shake her awake. "Deb...Deb wake up." Deb opened her eyes to see Kyla standing over her.
"Kyla, I thought I told you--"
"I know what you said," Kyla interrupted her, sitting down on the bed as Deb sat up on the bed. "...but I wanted to talk to you face to face."
"Okay, but this isn't going to change my mind."
"Look Deb I know that you love Spencer, but she doesn't want to be with you she wants to be with my sister." Kyla grabbed Deb's hand and held it in her own. "But I want you. I want to be with you. I love you. I didn't expect to fall in love with you Deb, believe me, I didn't even know that I liked girls. Maybe it runs in the family." Kyla joked, eliciting a smile from Deb. "Deb, I know you love me, you just need to get past this whole Spencer thing. You need to understand that she wants Ashley, and they're good together. But I'm here and I want you."
"Kyla please don't--"
"Just let me finish." Kyla cut Deb off. "If you can honestly tell me that you don't love me; if you can look me in my eyes and tell me you don't love me then i'll leave and wont bother you ever again, or at least i'll try." Kyla finished with a smile. "But you know...nine times out of ten I'll probably end up stalking you." She added causing Deb to smile again.
"Kyla, you are so sweet and you've been so good to me--"
"But?" Kyla asked cutting Deb off.
"You're right, I do love Spencer. I always have." Kyla got up from the bed and started walking towards the door. Deb grabbed her hand and pulled her back.
"But loves a two way street remember." She said and smiled causing Kyla to smile. "And I just passed a sign that said Kylaville." She added before dropping her head in her hands. "Oh my God, that was so corny." Deb shook her head in her hands, Kyla chuckled before lifting Deb's head to see her eyes.
"No," Kyla shook her head. "It was cute. So are you saying that you want to be with me?"
"Yeah, I'm saying that I want to be with you. I think I love you too, Ky." Deb bite her bottom lip, nervous about what she'd just admitted.
"So we're like a real couple now?" Kyla asked, smiling at Deb.
"I guess so." Deb said, moving closer to Kyla.
"I'm gonna kiss you now." Kyla announced, closing the gap between them. Deb walked backwards as Kyla led her to the bed, never breaking their kiss.
"Deb." Kyla pulls back, looking down at Deb.
"Yeah?" Deb asked, trying to catch her breath.
"This feels weird." Kyla admitted.
"Why?" Deb asked confused. It was Kyla that insisted that get together and now she was pulling away.
"No, no." Kyla shook her head. "Not that." She smiled, realized what Deb was probably thinking. "It's because we're kinda in Spencer's room and on her bed." Kyla chuckled along with Deb.
"Okay. Come on then." Deb grabbed Kyla's hand and led her to the guest bedroom where she was staying. They went in and shut the door. "Better?" Deb asked, pulling Kyla closer to her by the collar of her shirt.
"Much." Kyla smiled reconnecting their lips. Deb took off Kyla's shirt then her own, as they walked closer to the bed.
"I love you." Kyla smiled, kissing her girlfriend again.
"I love you too." Deb smiled as they fell back onto the bed.
