I look over at Jeanette and sighed. It looked like the things that irked her when we were playing still got on her nerves. Link stretched his arms for a moment before heading to pick the princess back up.

“Wait,” I said, holding out our water, “drink some, you’ve been doing so much already.”

Link smiled, “Thanks, Aiko.”

“No problem.” I said looking over to Jeanette, who was still glaring daggers into the back of Ruto’s skull. Oh if looks could kill, that girl would leave one bloody path behind her. She had always been like this, and apparently being stuck in a child’s body wasn’t doing her any favors.

Link handed the water canteen back to me, and picked Ruto up, showing her the kind of respect only princesses received.

“Let’s go.” Jeanette said angrily.

I continued stomping along into the next room. I knew Aiko was wishing I’d hide my temper, but I just couldn’t. Without a second thought I managed to kill the Octorok in the room with a spare deku shield and tapped my foot impatiently as we waited for the weird elevator to take us up the fish god’s throat. We avoided another Biri, and re-entered the room with holes in the floor, one with a green tentacle hanging through it. We ran along the edges, narrowly avoiding a Bari that fell from the ceiling. We then entered a room with three halls.

“Go right.” I said, trying to stay as far away from the Teparase.

We went right, and took another right, Link stepping on the yellow ‘switch’ to move the membrane in front of the door. Inside the room was squishy, and slightly slime-y. In the floor was four Stingers, creatures the resembled stingrays. I took one and Aiko took one, Link put Ruto down to take care of the other two. A chest appeared on the floor once all of the Stingers were dead. Inside was the fairy boomerang. Link took it and tested it a few times, trying to get used to the odd weapon.

Ruto attempted to talk to Aiko and I.

“Interesting boy isn’t he?” She asked.

“Quite.” Aiko said.

“I think he’s just a boy, that had the misfortune of getting mixed up in the worlds problems.” I said, looking at him out of the corner of my eye.

Ruto looked at us, thinking long and hard, “You two, you aren’t from Hyrule are you?”

“No, we aren’t.” Aiko said sheepishly.

“And, those aren’t your original bodies, are they?”

I turned my head sharply towards her, “How did you know that?!” And then I remembered she was a sage.

“Princess Zelda isn’t the only Princess that can see things. Besides, you two act far too old for you to only be nine and ten. And, if that didn’t make it obvious enough, you two aren’t very well versed on the etiquette of this realm.” She said, holding her head high.

“Looks like we have to work on that.” Aiko said looking at me, “We have to blend in here Jeanette.”

“First off, your names don’t sound Hyrulian at all, though I suppose we can’t do much about that at present. Secondly, we’ll begin with a lesson on respect. Since I am a Princess, I know a great deal about it. When dealing with people who are higher than or equal to your status, you must always show great respect.” Ruto said, “To address them as anything less than superiors is insulting, even if they are the same level as you. You may address inferiors as you see fit.”
