We waited for what felt like forever, sitting by the grave, twisting grass in our hands, praying our new friend was alright. Then night was suddenly day, and we knew he was alright. He emerged from the grave a few seconds later, a little weary looking, but fine otherwise. I was so happy he was safe I couldn’t help but hug him.

“So you got the song?”I asked letting go.

“Yup, the Sun’s Song.” He said, looking at me kind of funny.

“Then what are we waiting for?!” Aiko yelled out, jumping up, “Let’s go to Death Mountain!”

Hours later, we were maybe halfway up Death Mountain. Those Tektites never looked so big in game.

“I’m so SICK of these freaking Tektites!” I yelled picking up a rock and throwing it.

“Agreed.” Aiko said, taking a break and sitting on a large rock.

Link paused to dump pebbles out of his shoes. That was when she decided to make her appearance.

Navi the fairy.

She wasn’t a little blue ball of light, rather, a small blue humanoid figure, with a womanly shape, long blue hair, pale blue eyes, and she shined with some sort of inner magical light. Her wings looked extremely delicate, and were of a translucent blue.

“What ARE you doing Link?!” She screeched at the top of her little blue lungs, “I’ve been asleep for two days and you’ve only gotten this far?! We have to save Hyrule! And who are these ragged-y looking things?!”

Oh she didn’t just.

Aiko looked and saw the look on my face, and she knew what was coming. Before Link even had a chance to say a single syllable, I exploded. I never had liked that fairy.

“Ragged-y? Coming from you, that’s no insult. You’re like an annoying mosquito that carries Malaria and West Nile virus mixed into one, combined with the evil step-mother from Cinderella, and some idiot of a fairy god-mother that doesn’t know up from down. Your attitude is worse than that of the Queen of bloody Hearts!” I yelled, using real world references, “And I have a name, Queen Nag, it’s Jeanette, and I suggest you remember it, because I won’t be leaving.” Link was dumbstruck.

Aiko just sighed, “Jeanette, was that really neccessary?”

“Yes,” I huffed as I sat down on the ground again, “besides, best get part of it out now, instead of brewing over it all night and exploding later.”

“WHAAAT!” The fairy screeched, “Link are you just going to let her talk to me like that?!”

Linked looked almost torn. He knew he should defend his fairy as a good Kokiri would but... Jeanette was also his friend. So he just shrugged.

Navi huffed and crossed her arms, floating back to the inside of his hat.

After the Navi episode was over, we continued to trudge back up the mountain, stopping every now and then to rest our feet.

It was late at night when we came upon the entrance to the Goron City. Aiko was excited, she has always wanted to meet the Gorons. I was always more of a Zora person. To make a long story short, we went inside and talked to Darunia, then took Link to the entrance of the Lost Woods. Aiko helped me light the bomb flowers using deku sticks to open the path for Link. We knew it would be a reunion of sorts so Aiko and I stayed behind while Link went to go learn Saria’s Song. After he returned, he played it for Darunia, who cheered up and gave Link the bracelet he needed to life bomb flowers.

He then went outside, and picked up the bomb flower and threw it over the edge without any advice from us. Before entering Dodongo’s cavern we bought deku nuts and deku sticks from the store, along with a pink healing fairy that we kept in our bottle. Aiko and I also got items pouches for ourselves. We knew we’d need them.
