(I APOLOGIZE FOR NOT UPLOADING IN OVER FOUR MONTHS!!! Things have been really rough lately and I haven't had very much inspiration to write or update any of my fanfictions. I really hope you enjoy the chapter!!)
I lay awake in my bed.
It's been two weeks since the jungkook incident.
"Two weeks."
I don't feel like leaving my bed, because ever since then, things between me and Jungkook have been incredibly awkward and I'm not sure if we should talk about it or leave it alone.
We've barely spoken a word to each other, and I haven't heard from Yoongi in a long time. I still regret hurting him like that. Everything about it was wrong. Leaving him in his own damn driveway. Making out with my step brother. Thinking I had any chance of being with him was completely and utterly ridiculous.
Yoongi treated me well, he was the first person in a while, i had...a connection with outside of Jungkook and Jimin. He gave me his all and I gave him...Nothing.
I quickly spring up from my bed, running to the bathroom.
I can hear Jungkook in the kitchen preparing a breakfast.
I take a very speedy shower, and head back to my room to change into nice clothes. Running around the house, Jungkook suddenly asks me where I'm going.
"To Yoongi's."
I say, grabbing my bag.
Jungkook stops moving.
"What?"
I glance in his direction, then continue to gather my things before heading out the door.
"Y/N wai-"
I run out to the sidewalk, not looking back for even a moment.
Running through the streets, I take out my phone and type yoongi's address into the google maps bar.
I suddenly bump into a tall figure.
"I'm so sorry-"
I gather my things from the ground.
"Y/N. What are you doing here."
A deep familiar voice speaks.
I look up.
"Yoongi!"
His eyes show no expression. No feeling.
"I was...I was just on my way to your house.."
Yoongi gets close to me, and looks me hard in the eye before speaking.
"Never come to my house again."
Those words hurt. I can feel my eyes watering for the tears forming in them. Yoongi suddenly turns away and begins walking in a different direction.
I quickly run after him, and grab his sleeve.
"Wait. Please."
Yoongi stands there, without turning around.
"Look. Yoongi. I'm sorry for every last second of what happened that day. I know it was wrong of me to leave you there all by yourself. You put your trust into me and I just......"
"You threw it away."
Yoongi suddenly wipes his cheek.
"I made a huge mistake. You mean more to me than you know, and I wish I could've let you know. This is all my fault. I never meant to hurt you. Yoongi I..."
I feel really choked up.
"I love you. I know it doesn't sound true. But I really do."
I felt a tear run down my cheek.
"You are my best friend."
He turns around. I let go of him sleeve, and stand up straight, tears falling down my face.
"I know we've only known each other for a short time, but...you really are my best friend. And I love and care about you."
"You're only saying this because Jungkook told you he didn't want to be more than friends, aren't you."
His lack of interest returns.
"Yes that did happen, but it's not why I'm here."
I look down.
"I'm here because..you mean a lot to me. And I know it's stupid, but I just now realized...that.."
He crouches down, and wipes the tears from my face.
"That you need me?"
He smiles at me with that adorable gummy smile.
"Y/N. I could never stay mad at you for something like this. I get it..it's hard to choose between to people you love. Hey, maybe in reality, you only love and care about Jungkook, and maybe I can't change that. It's okay. Your loyalty as a friend is enough. Seeing you everyday is enough. Listening to your jokes and little tangents is enough. Taking CARE OF YOU, it's all enough for me."
He slowly stands up, and pulls me into his arms. I missed this. I missed him.
We've grown to...become so much more.
He's so much more to me than a friend, an acquaintance, a playboy.
He's my lovable Yoongi, that I could never live without.
"You truly have changed my life for the better...Y/N."
