The Begining

Clarisa opened the book. Turning to the first numbered page, she walked up to the podium, a bright light shining in her face. The lecture room seemed huge; she took a deep breath, and started reading aloud;

" Many books start with a beginning, but I'd like to start from the beginning. Writing is something you can achieve who ever you are. Said every cliché ever.

Nobody can stop you from following your heart. Said every cliché ever.

You are yourself. Said every cliché ever. Freedom is your right. Said every cliché ever. Tonight we will not be a cliché.

We have approximately 2 hours and 57 minutes here, and I promise that is enough time to learn what you need to know.

"Every society has rules, as does ours. Number one, no staying out after six pm, if you are caught out the metallics will come. Number two, no going out without your body suit and helmet on, if you are caught out the metallics will come. Our society that you are told is safe, because of rules, has so many rules that if you counted each one the metallics would come to stop you from reading!" she slammed her fist down on the podium. Pausing for breath she looked up at the class room, 24 students, risking being out of house after hours, without suits, for freedom; "Any questions so far?" she glanced around the silent room, "Good."

"You don't know, what goes on in that tower. But I do. I lived there, my whole life...."
