A tall shadow shrouded Sebastian's small figure, the darkness hugged at him, making him stop and look up. The Tower soared above him, with only a light at the very top providing a way to see. He looked over at Cris who had slipped her hand into his a worried look on his face. "You've got us this far Cris, you can get us up there." He smiled but in the darkness she couldn't see it. Gulping Cristine threw the backpack down, opening up the map that was inside and pulling out a torch to reveal her face, streaked with tears.
Sebastian gasped, placing a hand on her shoulder, "Cristine, wha- what's wrong?" He kneelt down next to her map.
"Ya, wouldn't understand." She turned, pulling a dagger and a pistol out of the bag. He was hurt by her comment but didn't let it show. "Why not Cris?" Seb stood up. " 'Cause ya ain't from these parts." She sighed, "My Mama told me that when they were young her Mama taught her about how there used to be these other places in the world, with more people and less robots. It was happier she said. And that if I ever came across one o' ya'll I should ask you what's it's like bein' free from this place. And that was the last thing she ever told me. She was taken Seb, and she might still be inside this tower!" Cris stooped over the map and started mumbling to herself.
So she had another reason to come here. Sebastian nodded, his mind fixed. "How do we get in?"
"E'scuse me?"
"I said how do we get in?" Seb, sat back down, leaning over the map.
Cris started to point out entrances exits and list some times. They were going to make it in, but that wasn't the problem.
It was whether they were going to make it out.
