A/N- this is based on tvd/ the originals in this imagine you're a vampire and you're compelling Grayson to forget you completely to protect him from your enemies who've just now found you after 3 years hiding in Graysons town

"Please don't do this" grayson pleads, you only cry harder. "Please. We can- we can fight them together okay we can-"

"Grayson!" You yell, he stops

"I'm doing this for you, for us." You say. "No. No this can't happen. Y/N I love you ok? Please. You're my everything I can't forget you." Grayson says bawling

You slowly step towards him. You cup his face and wipe his tears with your thumb. "It's gonna be ok, I'll come back. I promise".

"Promise?" He gives in. Crying harder.

"I promise" you say. You give him one last kiss. You look into his eyes, "you will forget me. forget everything, every memory, every kiss, every night drive, every time you saw me. You will forget that I ever existed. You will move on and you will never feel lost. You will never feel like you lost someone. You will be happy. You will forget this conversation even happened and you will forget that you even left the house tonight. And if anyone asks about Y/N Y/L/N you tell them you have no idea who that is. After I let go you will turn around and walk back inside and do not turn back" and with that, you let go.

Grayson immediately turned around and walked back into his home, not looking back like you had told him to do. You fell to the ground and cried until you couldn't cry anymore. He will be ok. You told yourself over and over. After all, you made sure of it.

It's only temporary, you tell yourself, he will one day remember again. When I come back and when I keep my promise.

You just couldn't let him get hurt.

*flashback 1*

You were the new girl at school, I guess that made you an easy target. A girl bumped your shoulder in the hallway and all of your books fell. You hesitantly squatted down and started picking up your books, hearing laughing behind you.

Anger flooded over you as you knew you could rip all of their heads off in a millisecond if you wanted to, but you couldn't break your cover already. You snapped out of your thoughts when the laughing stopped.

You looked to the right of you and saw a boy. He was wearing a football jersey and from that you thought you could read him, he's a douche. You rolled your eyes and picked up the last book.

*flashback 2*

"I like you" Grayson said yelling over the loud music and the rain, "a lot".

"I like you too" you yelled back

"It's settled then" he yells getting down on one knee. Drawing a lot of attention.

"Y/N Y/L/N" he starts, water dripping down from his wet hair onto his face. "Yes?" You ask holding back laughter.

"Will you go out with me?" He yells. "Yes you weirdo now get up" you laugh

*flashback 3*

"Ouch" Grayson says only half joking. He just wrecked off of his skateboard into a ditch.

He gets up and walks over to you, blood dripping down his knee. You start to get hungry, very hungry.

You quickly turn away, not wanting to hurt Grayson and not wanting him to see your face. You also hope it'll help the urge.

"Y/N?" Grayson says from behind you, "are you ok?" He asks touching your shoulder. "I- I'm fine Grayson just go home and clean yourself up" you say still not turning around.
