Thirty: Rough

A/N: never do i ever put notes at the top of chapters because i feel like that may ruin the mood but this is more like a warning. the chapter is very erotic and there's a scene that you may want to skip over if you want to keep it PG-13.

It's been a week since the trip to the casino and the break in at Nathan's house and I still haven't heard or seen Tom. He sent an email out saying he felt under the weather and would be returning soon, but it's been three days since that email and he has yet to show back up to work.

I reached out to him and told him that I had the information needed to get a search warrant on Nathan and Kensley both. I told him that I may be able to put the plot together and figure out exactly what happened and why.

The only piece of the plot I can't put together is why Tyler was there that night.

I push the thoughts of Tom and this whole undercover ordeal out of my head. I finally get to spend some time with Tyler. The least I can do is give him my full attention.

"You know, ever since you met my family you're all they talk about now. Whenever I get a call it's always questions about you and what you're up to," Tyler says to me.

I smile, feeling warm from how his family likes me.

Tyler's back is to me as he continues to cook at the stove. His back muscles flex through his shirt as he stirs whatever is in the small pot on the left back burner. Whatever he's cooking, it smells amazing.

We had almost decided on pizza again, but Tyler said he would cook for me and I think I fell even more in love with him when he said that. The lemony smell of the sauce he was making fills my nose and I begin to grow even more excited over the food.

"What can I say? They love me more than you," I boast, flipping my hair over my shoulder.

I watch Tyler as he moves the pot off the burner and then walks across the kitchen, grabbing two plates out of the cabinet.

"I'm sure they probably do. You stole their hearts just like you stole mine," he says, making me swoon.

"As long as you cook for me then you can have it," I answer back.

"I'll keep that in mind," he laughs as he begins filling up the plates with food.

Seconds later he's sliding a plate across the kitchen island over to me and then takes a seat right beside me.

"I present you with chicken piccata. I really don't know how it tastes. Sort of just found the recipe and thought it looked fancy enough," he says, picking up a fork.

I lean over and press a kiss to his cheek.

"Babe, you could have put anything on this plate and I would have been happy. Thank you for dinner," I say to him before picking up my own fork.

I take a bite of the dish, the noodles, lemon sauce, and chicken blending perfectly together. My eyes nearly rolled back in my head as the taste of the food hits my taste buds.

"Do you want wine? It said to pair it with white wine," Tyler asks me.

"I have to drive home," I remind him.

"So stay the night. You haven't stayed in so long," he says.

He isn't wrong. I can't recall the last time I have stayed over with Tyler. The weekend of the Gala I left to stay with Jace. The Weekend after that we were in Pennsylvania. Even though we were together that weekend, too many events were going on at the time. Then last weekend I was with Jace.
