Chapter 3 The Guild

I woke up in a room in the inn I had rented. It was very fancy and very cheap so I stayed here, I wanted to find a way to make some money so asked around and found that the best place to get some money was the "Adventurers Guild Hall", so I got some directions and headed over. When I opened the door to the guild hall I was met by multiple stares, but I ignored them and headed to the receptionist "hello, welcome to the guild hall, how may I help you" I was greeted by a young girl with a warm smile, "I would like to register as an adventurer please" I told her "are you sure, between you and me, the people here don't like newcomers" she was now whispering, I'm guessing because she didn't want to upset any of the people here, "don't worry about me, I can handle myself" I told the receptionist "okay then, put your hand on the crystal ball and fill out the following" she said as the crystal ball was set down in front of me, I did as she told me and when I was done a little card appeared in front of me I picked it up and realized it was my adventurers identification card, "you are now an adventurer, congrats, tommorow you will take the placement test, or, if you want to you can take it now" she told me "I'll take it now" I replied "alright then, follow me" at this she walked to a door just left if the reception stand. Through the door was some sort of arena with a knight standing in the middle "so you're the new recruit," he said, "we'll be having a duel to see your placement" he told me "alright, when do we start?" I asked, "right now" he said while unsheathing his sword and dashing at me, I stepped to the left, bent down sweep kicked his leg tripping him, then I used [SUMMON WEAPON] to create a mythril short sword and pointed it at his neck as he rolled over, "I believe we're done here" I said as I made the sword disappear and started walking away, "we're not done until I say so!" he said while getting up and swinging his sword down on my right shoulder, this time I used [SUMMON ARMOR] to create a mythril gauntlet and caught his sword, while still facing the opposite direction, "you should really keep your sneak attacks sneaky, kinda the whole point of them" I said, then pulled the sword out of his hands, threw it and got it lodged in the wall, turned around and punched him so hard with my gauntlet that it sent him flying across the room, and knocked him out. After that pretty much everyone in the town was staring when I walked by, probably because that guy I beat was an A-Rank adventurer and so I became S-Rank upon register (A\N in case you were wondering the ranks go like this| F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS | so S-Rank is a pretty big deal) "hey, Suragi, I challenge you to a duel" a female voice called out to me "you can't be an S-Rank right after register you had to have cheated" she continued "well, why would I do that, to be higher up than I'm supposed to be, so I can take on more rewarding quests and die on them because they were to tough for me?" She looked angry now, all I did was state the obvious "look, if you still want to duel me, meet me at the public training grounds behind the guild in an hour, Ms. ...." I told her as I asked for her name "Aitami, Aitami Hidoka" she replied "wonderful, see you in an hour" and with that I set off to the inn.
