I'm on top of the pyramid as the team finishes the cheer: "goooooooo CYCLONES!"

I turn my attention back to lacrosse tryouts where Stiles is up. And terrible as usual. Scott's up next. His shot is actually close to making it in. Wow. I guess a lot has changed. Scott really is the captain. But I guess he won't be if he keeps sucking this badly.

Liam is up next. His shot is beautiful- it makes it in easily. He wasn't lying about being good. When Garrett comes up, I cheer loudly, making Garrett smile and Liam frown.

Why was Liam upset? Was he regretting getting on my bad side? Probably. My bad side was a bad place to be.

Coach yells out for my brother and Scott to go to the goal for two on ones. I get down and call for practice to end early.

I head up to the bleachers and sit by Malia, who is cursing at her homework, and Kira, who's nervously fiddling with a lacrosse stick.

Scott and Stiles easily take out the first guy. "Those two are like sons to me!" he shouts, making me smile.

All is well until Liam maneuvers smoothly past Scott and Stiles. He shoots.... and scores. Ugh.

"That was luck! Do over!" Malia shouts.

"There are no do overs in practice." Coach replies.

I don't know Coach but I think I've read him well.

"Ten bucks on Scott and Stiles!" I shout.

"I'll take that action!" he says, making Liam go again.

"Go Scott! Go Stiles!" I yell.

Liam gets past my brother easily, but Scott uses an impressive amount of force to flip Liam into the air. No wonder Scott's captain? But why was he doing so badly earlier?

My thoughts are interrupted when Liam hits the groind with an audible CRACK! Oh, god. I run over but am pushed away by Coach.

"It's my leg," Liam moans, holding it in pain.

"Don't touch him!" He shouts. "McCall! Stilinskis! Take him to the nurse to deal with this!"

My brother and Scott each take one of his shoulders and escort him off the field. I grab my backpack and climb in the Jeep so that we can go to the hospital. I really hope Liam's okay. Though we got off to a bad start, the kid isn't all bad. I really had to tell him that I'm sorry. But not in front of my brother.
